Playa del Amor Cruising Area

The rocks and far-eastern end of Playa Zipolite, around the approach to Playa del Amor, are a long-standing after-dark gay cruising area, busiest at sunset and through the high season (November to April, and Semana Santa). Mexico's nationwide marriage equality makes the coast broadly relaxed, but this is a public beach: be discreet, respect others' consent, and be aware that public sex can draw fines and occasional patrols. Bring a light and sturdy footwear for the uneven rocks, and keep valuables secured.
