Playa del Amor Cruising Area

The rocks at the far eastern end of Playa Zipolite, around the path to Playa del Amor, are reported as a long-standing gay cruising area, mainly around sunset and after dark. Zipolite is Mexico's best-known nudist beach and has a sizeable gay crowd, especially in high season (roughly November to April, plus Semana Santa). We have not verified current activity. This is a public beach. Nudity is tolerated in Zipolite, but public sex can still bring fines, and patrols do happen. Be discreet, take a light and solid shoes for the uneven rocks, and leave valuables at your hotel.
