One of the very best places you could EVER stay in! Astonishing views, immaculate and peaceful property, fantastic amenities. Clean water and reliable power/wifi to boot. You must also try Orale Cafe for breakfast just a few steps away! Bless your vacation with this gem.

Martti and Fridtjof truly created an oasis in Zipolite and can be shared with you temporary to enjoy! I was impressed by the hotel’s exceptional attention to detail. From the clear welcoming communication days prior to arrival, to the guest rooms, they are immaculately clean and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The team on site takes great pride in their work, ensuring a spotless and comfortable environment throughout the stay. What truly set this hotel apart, was the pool. With the centre of Zipolite being a short 5 minute walk away. I strongly recommend El Guayacan and hope to return soon.

This spot could not have been more stunning. I don’t think the photos can completely do it justice, it has one of the most beautiful pools I have ever seen. The rooms are comfortable and well-stocked and the entire place is private but an easy walk into town. The staff took incredible care of us, especially Ricardo, and we can’t wait to come back again next year!

El Guayacan is a small, beautifully designed hotel just minutes from Zipolite and Mazunte beaches. The rooms are individually decorated with premium touches, the pool and garden are lovely, and the hosts make you feel genuinely welcome. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, boutique escape in Oaxaca!

An absolutely incredible experience at El Guayacan. From the point of arrival to departure everything went perfectly. The rooms and overall facilities are stunning. I stayed in one of the Casitas, which was beautifully appointed and amazingly comfortable. The owners went to such length to ensure a high level of detail, which I haven’t seen very often before, even as a seasoned traveller. From great quality bed linen and toiletries to small touches that included personal items and not to forget a fully stocked kitchen - my only regret was that I didn’t get to cook there. The pool as well as the “honesty” bar were highly enjoyable and the overall atmosphere at the residence was friendly and tranquil. I really could go on for awhile, but the thing that struck me the most was the great pride and care that Martti and Fridtjof take in respect to their property - rightfully so! I would definitely come back here again without a doubt and recommend it to anyone travelling to the area.

I went with my boyfriend and we never planned ahead. I booked a hotel, but I didn't sleep well because of the hygiene. I looked online for the next day and this was the only hotel available. At first, we weren't expecting much because it seemed like there weren't as many hotels as in Cancun, but when we arrived, we were very happy with the cleanliness and the kindness of the owners. We only stayed one night and had to leave the next day, but we couldn't stay until 6 pm since the bus was leaving at 8 pm. I definitely recommend this place and I'm going to stay there again. Wow, at Lovers' Beach, the entertainment starts at 7 pm every day! Haha, I liked that place; it was quiet, and there were lots of gay friends.

We had a wonderful stay at El Guayacan in April. Fridtjof was the most friendly and welcoming host. He made sure we had everything we needed and provided lots of information for our stay. The accommodation was beautiful and everything felt very high quality. The beds were supremely comfortable and the kitchen amenities were excellent (including complimentary organic coffee, which was delicious). Thoughtful extras like yoga mats and sun hats for guest use were also provided. The (clothing-optional) pool area is simply gorgeous. The infinity pool is even better in person, and the sun loungers are absurdly comfortable, with plenty of shade available. We didn’t use the communal BBQ, but we did make the most of the honesty bar :) The location is great: five minutes to the beach, and a few more to town, so everything was within walking distance. The only problem with staying here is that you may never want to leave!

I stayed for 8 nights with my partner. The place is truly amazing, and the room had a direct view to the ocean. The pool is also incredible—you feel surrounded by nature. It’s an incredibly relaxing place to stay in Zipolite. I can only highly recommend.
