OMERO Ocean Park

Do not stay at Omero Ocean Park. Don't believe in the reviews. The owner is extremely rude, bad-tempered, and uses abusive language toward guests, which made us feel unsafe. The mattress caused us back pain, and the room door is made of frosted glass that lets outside light in. We also found cockroaches and ended up killing 3 in a single night. As a result, we were forced to cut our stay short. The only positive is the location, but there are plenty of other hotels nearby. I would not recommend staying here unless you want to deal with cockroaches and lack of sleep

Returning to Onero Hotel in Ocean Park, PR, feels like coming home. This is our second stay, and just like the first, it's been an absolute delight. The grounds are warm and welcoming, and the rooms are always clean and incredibly comfortable. But what truly sets Omero apart are the hosts, Angel and Patrick!!!!!!!!! 🥰. They are genuinely accommodating and inviting, making every guest feel like family. Omero isn't just a hotel for us; it's our cherished home away from home. See you soon!!!!!

First things first, Angel was the nicest host I’ve ever had for a hotel stay and was very accommodating. The hotel was very clean and came with many surprising amenities such as bikes, a kitchen with many items for use like sun screen, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach towels, and not to mention it is within a 3 minute walk from a beautiful beach. Also has an outdoor shower to use with body wash after a long sandy day at the beach and many brunch spots within the area. I recommend you try La Coffeetera in the morning. This hotel made my trip a lot more enjoyable.

Booking was easy and convenient. When we arrived on property Patrick promptly helped with luggage and took us to our room. He told us Angel would be there shortly to show us around and familiarize us with the amenities at the property. Angel greeted us and first made sure we were happy with our room and towels / linens provided. There are two small court yards on either side of the gated property. One side has an above ground hot tub to relax in post beach w/ an outdoor shower. The other side has an additional kitchen area with sink, microwave, refrigerator , and coffee bar. Provided with your stay are beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas. Two bikes are available for use so you can explore San Juan. There is a dedicated space for families staying with children and a somewhat private patio area for them also. We are 2 adult travelers but I thought it was a nice feature to offer. If it’s important to you there are quiet times in effect at the property from evening to early morning. Angel and Patrick were always responsive and extremely knowledgeable about San Juan and all it has to offer. They went above and beyond to ensure our first stay would not be our last stay. Recommendations such as: best breakfast spots, where to get a good Cuban Sandwich, places to visit in Old San Juan, good happy hour specials, dining, shopping, and transportation. We also had the pleasure to meet Lily 💕 and Sasha 💕! They are the true highlights of Omero and the ones really running the show 💎💅🏼! Our room was an efficiency. It was extremely clean and convenient. The beach is less than 10 minutes away. Just up the block is a bustling community of food, shops, and any local conveniences you may need for your stay. They checked on us daily and even went as far as to purchase specific coffee creamer my husband uses. They listened and asked for input which was beyond what we expected. If you’re looking for an affordable stay that doesn’t feel “low budget “, where you can be safe and comfortable; we highly recommend Omero ! It’s clean and quaint while central to exploring everything the island has to offer. We will be back & are looking forward to it! Angel and Patrick are literally the BEST! Their place is super clean and you can borrow beach towels, chairs, cooler etc.. a water bottle and beer is waiting when you arrive. The hot tub was exactly what we needed after walking over 8 miles!! The location is safe and near lots of places to eat, a Walgreens is minutes away. I would def stay here again. Super super hosts and the friendliest. Thank you for a fantastic place to stay during our much needed trip. Missing our room already! 🥰

Angel was EXTREMELY RUDE. I asked for few Qs and accommodations. He was the one who reached out to me through direct call and WA. And when I had follow up Qs he called and said in a very rude tone saying I need you not call on this number and to communicate via booking.com and hang up on given he initiated the conversation over WA. Very bad customer service. Dont recommend them
