Birmingham AIDS Outreach

It is difficult to put into words how grateful I am for Birmingham AIDS Outreach and the support I have received from them over the past year. BAO is much more than an organization that provides resources. Behind every service, I have found people who genuinely care, listen, and try to understand what someone may be going through. Through BAO, I have received food assistance and transportation support during times when those resources truly made a difference in my life. But what has stayed with me the most is the way that help has always been provided: with kindness, respect, dignity, and without judgment. Sometimes a bag of groceries or a ride may seem like a simple service. But when someone is facing a difficult moment, those things can mean stability, relief, and one less worry to carry. BAO understands that incredibly well. Their generosity goes beyond providing assistance. They pay attention to the person behind the need. They listen. They care. And they make you feel welcome. After a year of receiving their support, I wanted to take the time to publicly recognize the incredible work they do and, especially, the people who make it possible. To the entire BAO team: thank you for every meal, every ride, every conversation, every act of kindness, and every moment when you made a difficult situation feel a little easier. And to anyone who may be going through a challenging time and wondering whether they should reach out to BAO: please do. There are wonderful people here who genuinely care about the community they serve. What you do matters, BAO. More than you may ever realize. Thank you for being there. 🤍

I am glad there is something like this in Birmingham Alabama, been here a couple of times and everyone is very welcoming and gentle with me… thank you guys for all you do ❤️
