Carmel River Inn & Cottages - Carmel, CA

Great place to bunk down for the nught. Less than 5 min drive from the shopping centers. And maybe 15 or so mins from downtown/ beach. Great experience

We had the best experience and can't wait to return. It was a few minutes drive from the "by the sea" which was nice, as traffic is jammed up there... everything about the stay from check in, check out, and the stay was relaxing!

This place was very clean inside and out. The bed was comfortable and the location was good. The individual cottages are easy to drive up to and offers excellent privacy. They have a neat area to walk around that is enclosed. Some of the rooms that are cheaper are attached like a motel 6 so you have to clarify that online or by calling. Jacob the manager and the other staff were very friendly. They also provide a water and ice machine. Coffee is available in the front desk area. Well worth the money and there is a grocery store across the street

Amazing stay.

Best place for your honey moon nearby beaches right across the street from a grocery store and the employees are super nice and accommodating I wouldn't pick anywhere else. Worth the money.

I've stayed here 4 times in the last 3 years and wish I could live in a cabin for the summer! I love the dog-friendly cabins, mini-fridges in the cabins (so there's always something cold to drink when I return) and super location close to our favorite dog-friendly beaches: Carmel Beach and Carmel River Beach. The grounds are beautiful, too, with fire pits and a wonderful view of the Carmel River making her way to the ocean. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby to meet all your needs. The cabins are new and remodeled on the inside, very clean and cozy with electric fireplaces. I can't say enough good things about the cabins!

Absolutely adore the Carmel River Inn cottages! I had an amazing stay last week. The cottages are charming with a mix of retro and modern finishes. The price for the square footage that you get with staying in the cottages is unbeatable anywhere else in Monterey County. Cleaning staff is impressive, and the location is great–super close to both Carmel-by-the-Sea and Carmel Valley wine country. Can't wait to go back someday!

Stayed in the main Inn building for the weekend to attend a wedding in Carmel-by-the-Sea! I think our room (23) had the absolute best view of the river. They allow pets and between stays they shampoo the carpets, which is great to know. Only downside is there's no AC and we stayed on a particularly hot weekend. They brought us a standing fan which really helped! Overall, amazing stay. It's an unprotected left turn to head back toward the main town in case anyone else considers that.

Amazing hotel and super friendly staff. The only thing is they don’t have AC so it was a little toasty. The location is super convenient
