Das Carson City Plaza Hotel & Events Center

Room had an odd odor. There was a lot of construction so parking lot was partially blocked. Microwave didn't work well. Took over 5 minutes to microwave a 2 minute frozen meal. I asked for an ice bucket and was given zip lock bags. Which ok but he neglected to tell me the ice machine was broken. The drink machine was broken as well. Tried to get the kids snacks from the vending machine and it only took $1 bills. Of course I had a 5. No change at the front desk. Overall not a good experience. And I emailed them to let them know the issues and the response I got was "Thanks for sharing" lol

If you are looking for a place to use as a base for snow activities in Tahoe, look no further. We've tried a few different budget hotels at this point and this one is by FAR the best. Large, clean rooms. Parking spots right in front of said rooms so you only have to lug your stuff the few feet to the room. Room does NOT smell like smoke as many cheap motels in Carson City do. Large refrigerator, warm shower, microwave, cupboards and a closet to keep your food and dry out your things. Even a second 'kitchen' sink in addition to the bathroom sink in our two-queen-bed room! Friendly staff, a far superior breakfast to most budget spots (actually good coffee, boiled eggs, waffles and bagels, cereal, yogurt, etc.) Basically, spend the extra ten bucks and you'll get more room, a drive up parking spot, all the amenities, it won't STINK of smoke, and the neighborhood is nice and quiet.

Overall a decent place to stay just for 1 night. Very old hotel. Needs renovation. Front desk lady was helpful. Only the front building was well lit. But the others blocks were dark and bit shady. The breakfast was very bad. No microwave to heat the oats and milk.

Staff very friendly upon checkin and checkout beds extremely comfortable

We needed a cup for coffee and the stupid tv in the sitting room wouldn’t work ? Liked the breakfast in the morning, was better than expected, thanks. But really, the location was outstanding being it was Nevada day and we could walk to Reds and have breakfast and then walk back down Carson street and watch the balloons take off. We sat in front of the building and watched the parade, it was actually really fun. Just a little long, 4 hour parade…… yay Nevada 🇺🇸oh yeah, forgot to bring my own pillows and got only one flat pillow and Carol had the same. Checking out the sheets for any kind of stains and found nothing, passed the sheet test. Handicap bathroom was cool but the size of complimentary soap was hilariously small, I wished I had taken a picture. We both laughed at the size of it 😂 so we had a very pleasant experience, thanks for your hospitality. Front Desk Clerks were very friendly and polite and accommodating, we thought that the woman who dressed up for Halloween was very polite and friendly. Again, wishing I had taken a picture 🎃

If your a smoker, they have a smoking area ,during my visit for the candy dance festival, the bikers got to park their bikes 5 of them in the smoking area so 2 days I couldn't use , I mentioned it to the staff fri. and Saturday and NOTHING Was done about it, so I will not be staying there again

The bikers are rude. Parked their bikes in the smoking area and hung out so Noone else could sit in the area. Customer service did nothing. Will not recommend this hotel. Our bathroom sink was clogged they responded and fixed the issue.
