Comfort Inn Garden City

Got a newly remolded room with no hot water the young lady at the front desk was less than helpful, she was actually very unhelpful and rude to the point of telling me that since I booked thru a third party it was my fault ,and that I need to check my room when I check in,10/10 do not recommend this motel

LOOK ELSEWHERE! WE FOUND OUT THE ROOM WE WERE GIVEN WAS ALREADY OCCUPIED BY BED BUGS!

Wish I could leave 0. Made reservations for my husband and son and when they went to check in- hotel was closed, locked, and no cars in the parking lot. My family was left scrambling to find a place to stay at 10:30 at night. They were still kind enough to send a receipt for my stay the next day- now I have to wait to see if I win my request to get my money back? Never stay with Choice hotel chain again.

Do not stay at comfort inn. They are going down hill. We made a reservation and confirmed our reservation We got there and they were closed under construction after driving 400 miles. Talk to corporate and all they would say was they were sorry they couldn’t do anything about it they said we probably wouldn’t be charged for it but if we do, we could call back. Very poorly run.

The hotel was under renovation - which was not discovered until we got there. They had no area for our dog to visit without getting burrs in her fur. The landscaping and "grass" were not taken care of and/or mowed. The internet was down most of the time we were there. The room was not clean, the carpet filthy, and the bath room was dirty. I was not acknowleged as a choice rewards member. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly. They allowed me to use the breakfast room to access an online meeting that I had - although I had to use my phone as a hotspot since they had no internet service.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I wish I had read the recent reviews before booking this hotel. This is a PSA. My only grievance is with the room I stayed in, the staff was amazing. Super friendly and really kind to me!! Unfortunately, the room was terrible. They upgraded me to the King Suite because they said the standard room I had booked had been having plumbing issues. They are doing renovations so the hallways were under construction (totally fine) and my room number was taped to the door. When I entered, the room initially seemed okay. I turned the AC on and immediately smelled old musty air, not great but nothing I couldn’t live with for a few hours. The bathroom was another story. The minute I flipped the light switch on, the exhaust fan started and immediately filled the room with a smell I cannot adequately describe. It was horrible. I didn’t feel safe breathing the air. A piece of the ceiling flaked off and fell on me and when I looked up, I saw a lot of water damage and the ceiling paint hanging on by a thread. Is it possible for the bathtub above my room to fall on me? I was skeptical of my safety if I dared use the shower. The bathtub drain looked like it was growing something on the metal. I did eventually cave and use the shower (I was there for a work trip and couldn’t see a way around it & they told me they had no other rooms) and the entire time I wondered about the air I was breathing. Is it mold from whatever is in the HVAC system? Is it poison gas? Will I even wake up tomorrow? I had no idea. Please - please get that fixed, Comfort Inn!! It was horrible. Don’t subject paying customers to that.
