Pines Motor Lodge & Retro Gift

Stayed a night. Room was clean and the owner is very friendly. Location was close to the beach and other eateries! Definitely recommend!

This was our first trip to the Saugatuck area, so wanted a place to stay that balanced cost and location. We feel this motel did that nicely. The rooms are super clean, fresh and well equipped. The property itself is well kept and fresh feeling. Location was close enough to downtown Saugatuck without the congestion, yet was walkable to Outside Coffee, Douglas Beach and Saugatuck Brewery (the walk back from there may not be as easy!).

The motel was clean and very well maintained. Great location with quick rides to Downtown Douglas, St Joseph, South Haven Saugatuck, and nearby Holland. My only issue was my assigned room. It was extremely small and adding a large wooden bed did not help. It was a corner room #8. Again, this place was wonderful with the exception of the room assignment.

This adorable and cozy motel is the best place to stay while in the Douglas area! From arriving for our first time in town we met the owner he was super nice and accommodating. He also helped us to think of restaurants and some activities to do while in town so that was very helpful! The motel- The rooms are adorable, very clean and comfortable. The grounds of the hotel were very cute, calm and inviting. There were flowers all around the property and beautiful tall old trees all around. We made great use of the adorabdack chairs outside our room and in the middle common area on cool breezy evenings under the soaring pines above us -Location For avid walkers like my husband and I this hotel has an amazing location! We walked to literally everything in the Douglas area! -we walked to the beach regularly for sunsets and lake activities. We also were able to walk to all the Douglas area restaurants close to the motel and down the main drag in downtown Douglas! We will definitely be back again!

Nice, clean, retro motel. We enjoy these small, non-chain places and this did not disappoint as all was great. Beds were very comfortable. Only a couple minute drive to Douglas or Saugatuck downtown areas.

Pleasant little place closer to downtown Saugatuck than some places with Saugatuck address

This place is...Groovy I am always looking for unique places to stay and found this one along the way during a road trip I was taking. I routed myself to this place just because of how cool it looked. It was by far everything I hoped for. As soon as you pull up you're back in the 50's from the colors to the pink flamingos. The white trim against the green paint made the exterior look great. The room was just plain awesome. Loved the retro theme. Simple but oh so interesting. Really comfortable bed, a/c worked perfectly, and the motel is basically central to anything you could need in Douglas. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone staying in the area or wanting to be near Holland. Easily a five star recommendation.

Great get away destination from Chicago. Quiet and quaint. Enjoyed our spring stay here.
