Gender Affirming Evanston

It may be good for local artists to showcase their work but it was not worth a trip for a tourist. If you happened to be in the area, it may be okay but don't make a special trip. Things displayed were average nothing special.

I was thrilled to see that there is now a Galleria in Evanston (in addition to the one in Andersonville in Chicago). The space features local artists and crafters. I have been here several times and always find something intriguing, whether that is jewelry or a hat, a night light or a painting. Many of the themes have local themes (Evanston, NU, Chicago more generally), while other pieces are more universal. There is enough movement among the sellers and items that it's worth visiting every few months. If you enjoy going to local arts and crafts fairs, you'll enjoy this, and the upside is that it's available year around. You may recognize some of the work from summer fairs, but there are also sellers who aren't necessarily on that scene.

Found this store while walking down Sherman. If you are in need of some GREAT Gifts for anyone and especially since they are all from Local Artists I say "Jump on it" ! They had lots of Jewelry, Toffee (YUM !), cute Pot Warmers, cute Nightlights and some Encaustic Art ( Cool Art ! I was glad that the Artist had a description of Encaustic Technique..... who knew !). Minor Disclaimer: I did buy an Encaustic piece for my Partner don't tell ! Seems like a good way to find something for everyone. Nicely lit and a good layout for each of the Artist spaces. Well worth the Visit !

The Galleria is a wonderful place to see and support local artists. What a hidden gem this store is.
