OUTshine ist das LGBTQ+-Filmfestival in Südflorida, das zweimal im Jahr stattfindet, im Frühling und im Herbst. Beide Ausgaben finden nun in Miami und Fort Lauderdale zu überlappenden Terminen statt, gefolgt von einer Online-"At-Home"-Woche. Die Frühjahrsausgabe ist nicht nur in Miami.
Die Frühjahrsausgabe 2026 fand in Miami vom 23. bis 30. April und in Fort Lauderdale vom 27. April bis 3. Mai statt, danach online vom 4. bis 10. Mai. Eröffnet wurde sie im Miami Beach Botanical Garden mit dem spanischen Film La Cena. Das Herzstück war Maspalomas im Koubek Center, und das Festival endete im Savor Cinema in Fort Lauderdale mit We'll Find Happiness. Dustin Lance Black wurde bei einer Vorführung von Rock Out, seinem Dokumentarfilm über queere Rock- und Punkmusik, geehrt. Das Festival präsentierte mehr als 20 Erstaufführungen aus 20 Ländern.
Tickets begannen bei 17 US-Dollar, und Inhaber von Festivalpässen erhalten eine frühe Buchung. In Fort Lauderdale ist das Hauptveranstaltungsort Savor Cinema. Die Vorführungen in Miami verteilen sich auf mehrere Orte, prüfen Sie daher den Veranstaltungsort für jeden Film.
Das Festival hat seine Herbstausgabe 2026 für den 15. bis 25. Oktober angekündigt, beginnend in Fort Lauderdale. Die Termine für das Frühjahr 2027 waren zum Zeitpunkt unserer Überprüfung noch nicht bekannt.
