Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Galesburg

I’m very frustrated and confused. Last year on 2 separate occasions I had someone from the staff walk in our room unannounced. One time while I was in my underwear. I wrote a review to let them know and they gave me 5000 pints as I am a Marriott Rewards member. I thought this was satisfactory until I talked to someone at corporate who told me 10000 points is only worth 12.50. That is 62.50 for 2 times ?? I called and talked to Erin at the location who gave me another 15000 points and told me that would be good for one free night at that location. I called back and talked to another lady at the front desk a couple of days later and tried to make a reservation but was told that when using points I need to call Marriott Rewards high I did only to be told that I needed over 25000 points for one night. The room on the Galesburg Fairfield Inn website says that it is 162.50 a night with tax. If you do the math the 18000 points comes to over 200.00 but corporate is telling me I need over 25000 points and there is nothing they can do about it. I talked to Paula who transferred me to Elise and after being on the phone for 21 minutes got disconnected. I called back and the lady transferred me to Marco who said he was a supervisor but there is nothing he can do about it ??? Sounds like they don’t know what they are doing and corporate is trying overcharge me. I guess I should cut up my Marriott Rewards credit card and stay somewhere else. This has been a terrible experience I appreciate the time you took to post a response to me but it basically said too bad and didn’t offer me any guidance

Good internet, good coffee, better price comparing Holiday Inn

Desk clerk was extremely helpful and very, very nice. Working the desk on 4/10 ar about 8 p m. She was excellent.

Very nice furnishings with. Safe location, great shower. Friendly staff both morning and night shift. Fantastic price.

There was a nasty maid with one nasty attitude with made are time there terrible, we asked her for hell, she said, find it yourself?I don't know what she was going on that day, but she didn't need to take it out on us.We'll never come back here again

Maintenance was not the standard we were expecting. Staff was great and the breakfast was perfect. Completely surprised by the quality and cleanliness of the room. We were only there 7 hours to sleep quick in the middle of a road trip otherwise I would have probably said something or tried to find other accommodations. Definitely not what we expected at that price range

From the moment I arrived, the front desk receptionist set the tone for an amazing stay. Upon check‑in, I was greeted by a friendly woman who had my reservation pulled up almost instantly. I had booked two rooms through the app, and she thoughtfully recommended a better option since our group wasn’t as large as originally planned. Her attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism were truly beyond 5‑star service. She made the entire process effortless and welcoming, and her exceptional customer care genuinely made our trip. Outstanding service like hers deserves to be recognized.

So far this is a wonderful place to stay and I absolutely recommend it to other people. The staff make your stay and the staff here are second to none. If I ever come back through this way I definitely will be staying here again. Thank you, Marriott

Convenient location to the freeway, very clean and friendly staff. A few restaurants within walking distance. Parking is a little goofy but not inconvenient. Definitely will stay here again.

They made Christmas Eve fun. Gift wrap station, hot chocolate, apple cider and coffee. Excellent service and kind pleasant staff. Rollaway bed made everyone comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and the biscuits felt home made. Would stay again.

We were traveling back home and got in some hairy travel weather and decided to pull off and get a hotel. The Fairfield inn welcomed us with open arms and even let us check into a room well before check in hours. Will be forever grateful for their understanding and hospitality! Not to mention the beds are super comfortable and the room is very nice and clean!
