Great House of Galesburg

I visited as a quick stopover on a cross-country trip, but this place is destination-worthy. Pristine, charming, spacious B&B with firm mattresses and an abundance of common areas to sit with a book or chat with friends. Owner is super friendly. Kitchen is well-stocked with continental-breakfast-style snacks available 24/7 (as a midnight snack enthusiast who sometimes skips breakfast, this was perfect). Would stay again. Sad I'm only here for 1 night. Will find a reason to return.

We had a wonderful experience staying here over the weekend. Linda and Dawn were very welcoming and gracious in every way. The home was immaculate. The suite was amazingly comfortable and we loved the decor with all of the antiques. We also appreciated the large parking area that was easy to get in and out of. We also appreciated Linda taking the time to tell us the fascinating history of the home... it's definitely unique and interesting. The kitchen was beautifully stocked with everything we could want (and some awesome treats as well). It was just a fun weekend - glad we found this place. We will definitely be back.

Dawn and Linda were very accommodating. The rooms were nice and clean. Pastries were provided from Innkeepers. The atmosphere was pleasant. The history of the house is amazing along with all the original decor and with the updates made for a wonderful experience. Spacious, excellent location to historical downtown Galesburg. Overall 5 star experience.

My family and I made the most special memories here. This historic home is fully updated with all the amenities — huge rooms, perfect adjoining bathrooms, lovely amenities, great wifi, new and super-comfortable beds and a host who truly knows how to run a first-class bed and breakfast. Five minutes from everything, THIS is the only place to stay in western Illinois.

What a wonderful place to stay! We booked 3 nights and two of those nights we were the only people in the house. Check in was very simple. The rooms are huge. The bathrooms are updated and clean. A lovely breakfast is provided. You can use the kitchen to prepare a lovely meal for your family. The kitchen is very complete. We used several rooms to host my family. Then the family heard about secrets in the house! The flashlights and cameras came out to search for the secrets. We had so much fun. My family will be staying there again in a week for a reunion. This is a great place to be conveniently located in Galesburg IL. We will use it for all our visits. Thanks, Linda❣️

This was a very quaint bed and breakfast. The home is lovely and has a lot of history. The entire downstairs is available for use. There is a fridge with continental breakfast items available. There is also a cart upstairs with coffee, tea and snack bars available anytime. There is a second fridge that I assume is for guests to use for longer stays. We were greeted by the host upon arrival and offered a tour of the home and the underground railroad basement. Our bedroom was a little chilly, but overall we enjoyed our stay and are looking for a reason to go back.

Just an "awesome" experience during our two days here...jewel of a host...also Galesburg itself is an undiscovered gem.
