Marriott Marquis Houston

Check your chargers!!! I was overcharged not once, but twice, and getting the issue resolved has been incredibly frustrating. Trying to reach someone directly at this location is nearly impossible. You get transferred overseas, then transferred back to the hotel, and end up going in circles with no actual resolution. It feels like a dog chasing its tail. Customer service and communication seriously need improvement.
We had a fantastic stay this passed weekend. Although a couple of items do need to be addressed. Their pools specially their hot tubs were utterly disgusting. Completely covered in black mold and not to mention the hot tub looked and smelled like a swamp... The rooms were dim, like a cave. Extremely poor lighting... The faucet from hell in the bathroom had only two setting. Hot and hotter to the point that the faucet itself was burning up... The only thing that made our weekend stay was the food. Delicious food.
Very nice hotel! Excellent service! Especially from Ayah, she's such a sweetheart! Helpful, communicative, and genuinely interested in the guests' needs! It's a blessing to have her on this great team! Thank you all! I hope you continue to do your best as always!
Great conventions hotel. We'll layed out and beautifully built and appointed. Tasty food
Is it clean? Yes. Is the staff friendly? Yes. Is the service slower than a turtle on quaaludes? Yes.
My family had a wonderful overnight at the Marriott Marquis Houston. The hotel was completely sold out and we weren't able to get an early check in, but the front desk was able to check our bags and provide me with a key to the concierge lounge (due to my titanium status). We game planned and decided to Uber to the Houston Museum of Natural History for a couple hours - it's an amazing museum. Upon return to the Marquis our room was ready so we changed and headed directly to the pool. If you go to Texas, you have got to float around the Texas shaped lazy river at th Marquis. The kids loved it, I loved it, and the other pools had picture worthy city views of Houston. I was upgraded to a corner suite and I found it to be one of the most extravagant rooms I have stayed in to date. The bathroom 🤩! Not sure if you could see into the windows, but I didn't care. Shower had great pressure to note. We ate at Biggios for dinner and absolutely loved it. For a family of four (little kids) we ordered the brisket nachos and chicken strip platter. We devoured everything and us parents enjoyed the beer and drink selection. If you are in town, or even if you are local, I would 100% recommend the Marquis.
