Very friendly staff. Also very convenient for cruisers.

Hotel is nice I have stayed at this hotel about 30 times or more..Its the best hotel in the area. cant beat the price.

The rooms are spacious. The bed is super comfortable. Love the bathroom and how it is set up. Total zen.

I stayed at the Hotel Current Long Beach for 2 nights in December 2025. Overall, my stay was average (2 stars). The rooms were subpar (1 star) due to noise issues. The service was average (2 stars). So what you're mainly paying for is the convenient location (4 stars). The group I was with regularly books rooms here so the hotel staff was friendly enough when I checked in. I was surprised by the low quality of rooms but I figure that the group prioritizes the location of the hotel. Since my group handled the hotel expenses, they also covered parking so I didn't see firsthand what the cost was. I was surprised there was no complimentary breakfast. There were some other reviews that referenced a breakfast so I figure it is a paid option that my group opted out of. The hotel has a decent looking pool but no other amenities like a fitness room or a business center. There is a cluster of bamboo trees outside the entrance and a pair of chairs nestled within the bamboo - I guess it is seating for someone waiting for a car? Now let's get to the rooms. My room itself seemed clean and reasonably furnished. The view was average, looking across the street at the neighboring golf course. So what were the issues? #1. The first red flag was when HOTEL Current turned out to be a MOTEL. Without getting too much into the hotel vs motel debate, my general experience is that motels tend to be lower quality. However, a female colleague also staying at the motel brought up a valid and sobering point - that female guests may feel less safe at a motel so there are definite security implications in the hotel vs motel issue. #2. No elevator. I was given a room on the second floor and was a little annoyed that I would have to lug my suitcase up and down the stairs (picture of stairs included) since there was no elevator. Ironically, I initially thought the motel was doing my female colleague a favor by assigning her a ground floor room since it meant she wouldn't need to carry her luggage until she rightly pointed out that she would prefer a non-ground floor room due to security concerns. #3. NOISE was the biggest issue. On the first night, I was woken up at 3 AM by a neighboring woman repeatedly moaning loudly. I had to loudly shout if they could please keep the noise down. Another colleague also had similar noise issues (i.e. neighbor engaging in similar acts) but their room was not near mine so it must have been a different guest. And lastly, a third colleague (in yet another part of the hotel) had felt uncomfortable seeing a female stranger at an open door nearby. So these three separate incidents reinforce the perception that this might not be the safest motel and the rooms have paper thin walls. #4. While I didn't detect any cigarette smoke during my visit, I did smell some marijuana odor outside. Yes, I know it's legal in California but hotels can still prohibit it and enforce any such bans. If I return to Long Beach and my sponsoring group puts me up here again, it would be fine. And as previously mentioned, management seems courteous enough to my group. But I definitely would not choose this hotel if I were making my own travel and lodging arrangements.

A welcoming lobby and attentive staff make checking in swift and pleasant. The guest rooms are comfortable, quiet and well kept, so sleep comes easily. Overall the stay feels like good value, making it easy to recommend and to picture yourself returning.

Pros: warm pool w/ nice courtyard and lounge chairs, friendly staff, shuttle services to the cruise port. Decent size shower with good pressure. Good TV channels. Cons: cockroaches, family stepped in gum TWICE, hard pillows and bed, no hand soap in the bathroom, my family had a room with no AC. $15 daily parking is insane for a 3☆ hotel.

Loud party with music blasting well into the night right underneath my room. Little to no parking, smokers everywhere. Wound not recommend.

Nice motel type. We stayed with the Panionios water polo team and we found everything nice. They should just clean the room more often

Is a very nice Hotel has nice rooms very close to the Ocean. I highly recommended it, has reasonable prices not over rated like the other Hotels. The owner is very nice and very helpful. Thank you!
