About this place Hotel Current

Hotel Current is a modern mainstream hotel off Pacific Coast Highway in southeast Long Beach, listed as gay-friendly rather than as a gay venue. It is about 3.2 miles from Long Beach Airport. Rooms and apartments are minimalist, with bamboo floors, flat-screen TVs, minifridges and free Wi-Fi; some have whirlpool tubs and balconies with golf course views, and apartments add a separate living area. I didn't feel like it was great value because $300 for a room that didn't have a microwave, and didn't have a door between the bed and the toilet just the shower curtain where the tub was, didn't seem like a good value. If you would like to so-called Kill the Magic, go ahead and stay in this room lol. They also charge you $15 for parking outdoors on their premises, which they didn't say initially. The room was just okay like a nice motel room. Clean, and good air conditioner. They also charge a $50 deposit that I have yet to receive back on my credit card. Staff was very friendly and location is great. They had another room for the same price that was much better but I didn't feel like I got good value for this one.

Our experience was overall okay. The room did not have a microwave and once we arrived we were told that even though we booked and paid online that a cash deposit was still required and that we also had to pay $15 for a parking spot on the hotels premises, which I thought to be extremely odd.

Thank you to the hotel staff for answering questions regarding our stay. This hotel is in a central location in Long Beach. Close to the CSULB University. We stayed at Hotel Current a few years ago and the experience was wonderful. Across from the Golf Course and close to great shops and restaurants. Fantastic pool and parking available.

Very clean and quiet hotel. Great pricing and always rooms available. This is the second time I have stayed here when in Long Beach.
