I checked into a room at 10:44 PM on Wednesday, May 27th, after clearly stating this was my first time visiting East Side Club — and after staying my full four hours, here’s what I have to say. You can tell the employee who looks like Uncle Fester that he can’t be ugly on the inside and the outside. Pick one struggle. This man practically mall-walked me upstairs at 10 mph like we were late for a fire drill, taking the stairs two at a time while offering absolutely zero introduction to the facility along the way. No explanation. No tour. No “here’s the sauna,” “here’s the lounge,” “here’s where anything is.” Nothing. Then, after aggressively speed-running me to Room 230 and doing little more than watching me put a key in a door, I was berated for not tipping him. A tip for what, exactly? Last time I checked, I’m fully capable of turning a key myself. Tipping comes after a service is provided — and there was no service here beyond cardio. You know what earns a tip? A proper walkthrough. Basic hospitality. Maybe acknowledging that someone is new to the establishment. Hell, even pointing out where the amenities are would’ve been a start. The Clubs in Houston and Fort Lauderdale? Steamworks Chicago? Establishments four times the size of yours still manage to give guests an actual verbal tour without acting personally offended when money isn’t immediately handed over. And if tipping is somehow expected as part of the process, maybe do what literally every other bathhouse in the country does and place a tip jar near checkout instead of having staff shake guests down in the hallway. Take notes. And maybe reconsider whether the aggressively unpleasant man escorting guests upstairs should be working in customer service at all. He’d be far better suited for a serving shift at Dick’s Last Resort.

It's a perfect place, it's very clean, The staff is very friendly, But it would be good if it had a graph with the live schedules With the highest and least attendance during the day and night

The customer service is terrible. I think it's worth $40. It's completely useless. They ask for tips without providing any service or even being friendly. They should at least explain what the place is like. They're very rude. The goal isn't to leave a bad review, but they really should pay more attention to detail.

East Side Club is a club for gay and bisexual men to socialize and relax. As New York's last remaining gay sauna club, it was much more entertaining than I expected. First, you should know that there is no huge signage outside. Just look for the building's address and you'll find the club listed on the directory (and the elevator). As for the staff, they are super friendly and helpful! They explained me the difference between the rooms and lockers, as well as the membership cards and amenities. Please note that it is CASH ONLY. There is an ATM by the front desk and a Chase Bank outside at the corner. The rooms themselves are a bit small, but it is enough to still relax and/or have fun. There are showers on the main level and in the lower levels, but working the hot water is tricky. As for the amenities, feel free to relax and socialize in their steam room, dry sauna, video room, and/or lounge. Have fun and, most importantly, be respectful and play safe!

I visited and honestly, the price for 4 hours is awful! They practically force you to rush through everything whether you want to or not 👎!!! In the end, it was nothing special 👎. A place I'll never return to 👌.
