Worse hotel ever They don’t even deserve 1 star. Front desk lady was rude ( morning shift ) she is not helpful at all. Room was dirt and smells bad while charging $400 plus per night. Tim was very nice compare to the morning shift lady. She is very rude and very unprofessional and mine . I will never ever stay in this hotel again
The hotel was ok. There was a tear in the carpet in one of the rooms we booked. The beds are very comfortable. What was not on is the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. As we used the shuttle service to get to the airport for the train to NYC We got to the shuttle spot, right before it left the shuttle was full. The shuttle driver said he would be back in 30 minutes. After 45 minutes we called the hotel, and no one picked up. Finally we got the shuttle tracker. After an hour and a half it showed up. It was almost 2am at this point. That is not ok. While we were waiting. We saw the shuttles for every other hotel in the area at least 4 times. Including the shuttle fot the Hilton hotel. The next day, we got back from NYC to wait for the shuttle. Another guest of the hotel had been waiting over an hour. It was at least 45 minutes till the shuttle arrived. The breakfast is not worth the 25 dollars. But the front desk staff is friendly, and the cookies are good.
There is a gate controlling entrance and exit to the hotel. In the morning, trying to make my flight, the gate kiosk wasn't working. The security guard working the gate was not able to open the gate. Traffic backed up onto the main street. There was no way to get to the airport. I was waiting for an Uber, but even the hotel shuttle could not even get to the gate because of the traffic backed up on the street. And of course, the hotel manager was not in his office for a week, according to his phone message, and there was no one on site during his absence. This is a glorified motel at best. But when people are missing their flights because the guard can't open the gate and there is no manager on site, it makes this a poor choice for an airport hotel. The proximity to EWR did not help. So, never mind wheelchair access. I had to walk down the street to find my Uber in the backed up traffic.
Where to begin… The staff who operate the shuttle bus to and from the airport are lovely. Upon checking in, I was advised there is a $75 PER NIGHT deposit fee, this is completely different to Booking.com who advise there is a 75 dollar total fee. I paid the deposit for 3 nights stay totalling $225, after one hour of check in I received an email to say thanks for checking out and a partial refund of my deposit. I waited one month before asking about my refund, as in line with their policies they say up to 30 days before some refunds - nothing. I reached out to booking.com who have no idea at all about anything and the Hilton who said I had been charged for 2 night parking. Why would this parking not be charged when she asked me about it at reception and I said NO parking needed. Why would you presume I was using the parking for 2 out of 3 nights and charge this to my deposit fee within an hour of me checking in ? The rooms were filthy, half the lights didn’t work, dust upon dust behind the beds. Half the charging points/ plugs didn’t work. Only the staff and location make this hotel decent enough to consider staying in.
Nice 👍
