Well, I have not stayed here yet, but it is in my plan. I am taking a leap of faith and not going to pay mind to the negative reviews, as some people can turn a whole experience into a fully negative experience just because something didn't go their way. Not saying that everything is perfect, but everything can't be all that bad. If it was they wouldn't still be in business. I'm excited for the buffet. I'm excited for a spa tub that I'm going to ask for in my room and I always bring my own blanket, so I'll just throw that on top of the bed, maybe that'll keep the bed bugs from biting🙈🙉🙊 let's be supportive of this route 66 business!
The restaurant is highly advertised but is not open. The room was not as advertised. The beds and hot tub (king executive suite) were too high and had no steps. We could got get into either without helping each other. The floors are beautiful marble, but are so slick they are dangerous. The famous hot tub was so bad we couldn't even enjoy it. It is too slick. You can't stay seated in it because of the pressure and slickness. The Bluetooth volume is limited to 14, which cannot be heard at all over the jets. The LED lighting has no settings. It's just on or off. The waterfall? It's not a waterfall. It's just an overflow on the hot tub. The entire front of both rooms is sliding patio glass doors. The dingy curtains over them have holes and are ill-fitting, so the extremely bright hallway lights shine through. You cannot get the room dark. The room and hallway smell very musty. The advertising shows Route 66 decor in the rooms. There was absolutely no decor in our room. It had a cheap white sheet and across the foot of the bed, there was a very cheap, itchy hospital-type blanket. There was only 1 nightstand. There was not an outlet to charge phones near the bed or in convenient places. We never could get the bedroom tv to turn on, and we could not hear the tv in the living room over the hot tub jets. At checkout when we were asked how we liked our stay, we said we were disappointed. He literally completely ignored the comment. He never asked us to elaborate on anything. He just checked our room, returned our deposit, and told us we were 'good to go". This was a real let down to the end of our Route 66 trip.
I booked 3 nights. Only could stayed 1 night. I couldn’t stand the filthiness and uneasy feeling of the hotel. The entire motel reeked of marijuana. I sat in diner and was not acknowledged, people next to me had drinks and menus. I finally left.
Stayed during storms on a Wednesday. Employees were great checking in and out went smoothly. It's an older hotel so if you are expecting high end it's not for you. I felt safe there my family I will go there again when weather is rough . Thank you to the nice employees you know who you are
