Frameline50: The San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival

Frameline50 is set to be a landmark celebration of queer cinema, marking 50 years of the longest-running, largest, and most widely recognized LGBTQ+ film exhibition in the world. Attendees can expect 11 days packed with film screenings, vibrant parties, valuable networking events, and insightful industry panels across various venues in San Francisco and Oakland.

This festival is a cornerstone of LGBTQ+ storytelling, championing queer and trans films and filmmakers for five decades. It provides an unparalleled opportunity for festival-goers to immerse themselves in a diverse selection of global queer media. The event fosters community and insists on the visibility of LGBTQ+ stories, making it a deeply political and celebratory act.

With an expected attendance of around 60,000, Frameline is a prominent LGBTQ+ arts program in the US. Screenings will take place at iconic venues such as The Castro Theatre, the Roxie Theater, and the Vogue Theatre in San Francisco, as well as Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) and The New Parkway Theater in Oakland. Tickets typically go on sale in May.
