Frameline50: The San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival
About This Event

Frameline50 isn't just a film festival. It's 50 years of queer cinema, the world's longest-running, biggest LGBTQ+ film exhibition. It starts this year, for 11 days, with screenings, parties, networking, and industry panels. Expect it all over San Francisco and Oakland.

This festival has pushed queer and trans stories and filmmakers for half a century. It's a chance to see a lot of global queer media in one place. It builds community. It insists on visibility. That makes it political, and also a party.

About 60,000 people usually show up. In San Francisco, you'll find screenings at The Castro Theatre, the Roxie Theater, and the Vogue Theatre. Over in Oakland, they'll be at Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) and The New Parkway Theater. Tickets usually go on sale in May.
