Amazing food, even better hospitality
My meal here might have been my favorite meal on a recent two week trip to the bay. I got the Sudanese Tabeekh special, incredibly hearty and flavorful. The service was fantastic and extremely kind. I think everyone in the bay area should try this food and I can't wait to come back.

Worst Too Good To Go experience ever. I drove a long way for this, only to receive a portion size that looked like cat food. The kitchen staff was incredibly stingy, even removing food from the container after scooping it. When I questioned the tiny portion, the staff member was extremely arrogant and rudely told me, 'You deserved it, it’s worth it with the price.' The food was just dry, crumbled chicken on a tiny bed of rice, and the taste was terrible. Absolutely unacceptable service and quality. Never coming back. That black guy employee so rude.
I hate doing reviews like this for local businesses but I have to be honest about my personal experience. The service was great, the gentleman was very attentive and I was already aware that he was solo so I was understanding of that. The vibe was good as I watched the World Cup on the big screen and admired the art painted on the walls. Now the food part. The price point for the serving size of the beef kofta I was given was off not to mention the size of my pita bread was small and ice cold. I didn’t pick up any of the seasonings I usually get when eating beef kofta which left me disappointed. I want what those 5 star reviewers had.
Such a friendly spot. The lamb shank was delicious. I will be back to try more from the menu!
