Really enjoyed the speakeasy! The atmosphere and decor were perfect. Drinks were delightful, and the ordering process was fun. Food was fantastic. We got the burrata & focaccia, popcorn chicken and cheddar and corn cracklings. Perfect girls night. Would definitely go back.

Nathaniel kicks ass

The manager, Nathaniel, was so attentive to our table. Provided excellent service! The food was great, drinks were top tier, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for a classy night out in Capital Hill. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Seattle!

I’ve been coming here for years, and at this point, this place isn’t just a bar, it’s a national treasure. The kind of spot you almost want to keep secret because once people discover it, there’s no going back. The staff somehow manages to be both incredibly professional and genuinely warm, making you feel like a VIP every single visit. And the drinks? Absolutely flawless. Non-internationally friendly service, underwhelming interior, hard pressed to be described as a speakeasy.

This is for Needle and Thread—a reservation only speak-easy above Tavern Law that is easily in my top 3 bars I’ve ever been to. The theme and atmosphere they create before you even sit down draw you in. The bartenders are incredibly talented and take a list of dos and don’ts in terms of your tastes and assemble a custom cocktail just for you. It’s an amazing experience for a group of friends or an intimate date. Make a reservation on Tavern Law’s website. Don’t miss out!

Went to Needle and Thread, the "hidden" speakeasy. I use air quotes because after being carded the host cleanly explained how to access the speakeasy and exactly how it works. Kinda ruined that part of the experience. Atmosphere and service was spot on once inside! Bartenders really know their stuff. My partner and I are cocktail snobs and their drink concoctions exceeded expectations! Had their burgers and ordered a second round of drinks. Was pretty great all around and will definitely be back!

We came to try the Coast menu and enjoyed our drinks. Staff was very friendly and did a great job explaining the drinks and what we would like based on what flavors we were looking for that day. We ordered the Siren Song and the Where the Baby Dragons Sleep cocktails. We want to come back and try more of the menu and also make it upstairs to Needle & Thread.

Didn't get to speakeasy this is just the general restaurant the vibe is casual and staff are nice, excellent cocktails.

I try to go to Needle & Thread, Tavern Law's speakeasy, as much as possible, and it's always worth it. Fantastic staff, great ambiance, and I've never had a bad drink. The food is also good! Loved the burrata.
