Nantes' annual LGBTQ+ Pride march through the historic heart of the city, typically held on the last Saturday of June. One of the largest Pride events in western France, drawing 25,000–30,000 participants from across the Pays de la Loire, Brittany and Vendée regions. The march departs from central Nantes and concludes with a free outdoor festival on the Île de Nantes, the city's creative and cultural hub on the Loire. The nearby Machines de l'Île — one of France's most extraordinary cultural installations — provides an extraordinary backdrop for the festival stage.
