Bar Secreto Iberico

We came on the recommendation of our host. Overall, we were very disappointed. The waitresses' professionalism leaves much to be desired; upon arrival, they practically breathed on us to express their displeasure… the waiter who served us was much more pleasant. However, there were several problems: we ordered tapas, but were told that our chosen tapas were unavailable, so we opted for croquettes instead (we were told there would be four, but received three without any explanation from the waiter; we had to ask him to tell us that only three remained). He did offer us a dessert as a gesture of goodwill. For our main course, we ordered a dish for two (2500 CVE) labeled "bife," which we translated to be sure it was beef. When the dish arrived, it was a sort of cordon bleu with fried pork (950 CVE). The table next to us ordered the Bife, I think, and they got beef this time, so we realized there had been a mistake. When it came time to pay, we looked at the price and saw the one for beef. I told him we hadn't received the beef dish and showed him the picture, explaining that we'd received fried pork. He said no, it was the Bife and that it was the right dish. I told him that wasn't possible, and finally he told me that it was called Bife but that it was pork? I really didn't understand. I was tired, so I gave in and paid, but I find it really dishonest and I don't recommend this place for that reason. It's a shame because the food wasn't bad, but the whole experience—the attitude, the mistakes, and the price—prevents me from recommending this restaurant.

A good option for tapas and a glass of wine.

I made a phone reservation confirmed by the restaurant, and upon arrival they informed me that the table was not available (even though I arrived before the scheduled time), by decision of the owner, without any prior notice. The service was extremely unpleasant and they resisted providing us with the complaints book, and they wanted to give us a copy of the complaint form without the company's details. It took us a long time to be able to file the complaint. A regrettable and unprofessional situation.
