Lo que dicen los críticos

Many visitors praise the friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and good food, with some finding it to be good value and in a perfect location near 4 Mile Beach. However, a significant complaint involves last-minute booking cancellations despite confirmed reservations, and some guests found the location too far to walk to the main street, with rooms and facilities described as dated and the pool uncomfortable.

Poor service, limited breakfast options but good location. Overall an average experience

We are here currently, completely appreciate the reviews before us and concerns of work being carried out but we arrived with confidence after speaking with the team at the oaks, this is our 5th stay here and we have 6 days left. The hotel yes is completing some minor touches but it’s to benefit further bookings, the service is fantastic and it’s very much feels relaxing still. If you are thinking of changing hotels we would suggest don’t, you will have a magical stay just as we are. 6 more days in paradise Nick and Sylvie apps

We booked a 4 night "luxury escape". It was more "disturbed escape". We checked in early so we could work as soon as we arrived. Within moments of starting our work the noise started. There was considerable high pressure hose cleaning, repairs, construction, painting and maintenance being performed. It went on for hours. We had to wade through the flooded corridors and dodge the waterfalls down the stairs. We were told once they were done there would be no more. The following morning at 6am the noise started with more construction near the pool. There was no way anybody could relax. It was quieter over the weekend except for a wedding party where several of the men used the garden as a urinal. Nice ! On Monday morning, the high pressure cleaning, repairs and maintenance started again. The resort is showing its age so we know this work needs to happen BUT had we been told in advance, we would have chosen to go elsewhere. The works had been underway for some time so there was ample opportunity to contact us to decide to stay elsewhere. The rooms are clean, but quite basic and clinical. The breakfast is good so bonus points here. This resort would have been fine without the noise, not great but would have done nicely. As is, I would advise against staying here unless all the repairs are completed. The staff were also very helpful

As others are commenting, the level of undisclosed construction work going on here is unbelievable. We’d arranged an early checkin so we could both work during the day, only to find we had to jump pools of mud, climb stairs dripping with cleaning chemicals, then walk down flooded corridors to our room, which had towels across the bottom of the door to stop water coming in. High pressure hoses and engines ran outside our door all day. We complained to mgmt and they said they’ve nearly finished and it won’t be happening again. Next morning at 6am woken to hammering, music and concrete trucks, for work around the pool. Spoke to a manager again - he really couldn’t care less - explained ‘maintenance has to be done’. Well not while you’re charging guests on holiday, to stay in the rooms it doesn’t. Later that day, the industrial blast cleaning started up again. That night, guests moved in to the room above - held a party and proceeded to drag every bit of furniture around, for hours. After the weekend, the blast cleaning started again. Takeaway - anyone planing on staying here these next few months - just don’t! It’s really not worth it. They are also renovating lots of rooms, so there’ll be ongoing noise, for a very long time - management won’t tell you and won’t care. Longer term, don’t get a room unless on the top floor. The noise from people above, even just walking, is extremely loud.

Undisclosed construction ruined our stay. Do not recommend this tired and run down resort. Management didn’t even care when we complained.

Construction that started at 5:30am on the first morning of our stay - drilling, hammering, vaping workers directly under our balcony and all around the pool area. We were not told about this when booking or bizarrely even at check in. We got a room upgrade becuase I’m guessing the room we booked literally was a construction site. Had to leave at 7am - really ruined the first day of the little time we had away from work. Spent the day trying to find other accom and having no where to rest as had to wait until check in at new hotel. No reply from management. Whoever is managing this place needs to be fired. Pretty disgraceful service for what is meant to be a resort. Furthermore the night we spent there was horrid - the mattress sagged in at chest level so I had to sleep with a pillow under my upper back so that my chin was not on my chest - one of the worst beds I’ve ever slept in. The room carpet was stained and the hallways were all dirty and full of rubbish. One buildings roof was collapsing in. I’ve stayed in better backpackers. Do not recommend. Avoid at all cost!!!

Good service and location. It is refreshing to see most of the workers at the resort were extremely friendly and happy to be there. The facilities were clean and fresh and beautiful. The service was wonderful. Thank you for a great stay!
