Apartamentos Mantra on Murray

I stayed at Mantra on Hay recently and found it to be generally convenient and comfortable, with a few areas that could be improved. The location is good, easy to get to by public transport, with some nice walking spots and good restaurants not far away. The check‑in staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciated being able to leave my luggage in the storage room for a couple of hours after checkout. That made wandering around the area much easier. The hotel itself is starting to feel a bit dated. The carpets, bathrooms, and especially the gym could really benefit from a revamp, as they don’t quite match what I expected. Nothing was terrible, just noticeably tired. On the upside, the king bed was comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep.

Compare to 18 years ago (we were stayed there for almost 2 months) building and inside a bit old and tired. But service still good

This place was great for me and my wife and 5year old daughter and doing the pre booking for carpark really helped as we could go in and out as many times all day long.

Excellent service and hospitality from the staff at Mantra on Hay. I cannot thank the team enough for looking after me and helping me out. I stayed here for approx 2 months having to extend week by week. Everytime I went to reception to extend each staff member showed professionalism, compassion, friendliness and happily extended me understanding my situation. In addition to the reception staff the housekeeping was incredible. As I was a longer term guest my room was serviced many times. They come in a full team and are very lively and bubbly. The room is turned over in no time to a high standard and I'm always left feeling in a great mood after the team has come through. During my stay it was a challenging environment with many street people around and a very noisy construction site next door. Despite this challenging environment the staff upheld a high standard of hospitality and professionalism. Thankyou to the entire team at Mantra on Hay. I had an awesome stay as a result of the staff's care for their guests.

Very disappointed, the facility was dirty and mouldy, no room cleaning or bins emptied. No new towels. I had difficulty understanding the admin staff (they were not clear with English). I was charged twice for parking and it was difficult to communicate this. We were also charged for two rooms and we only booked one room (we were not refunded fully) it was a disaster.

Average stay. We had a couple of water supply issues to the 7th and 8th floors.

We got a air bnb room via booking.com. the check in and parking was a huge problem. The keys not working. We need to wait for the owner to text us back. We cannot call only text. Extremely un helpful and we have to wait almost an house for them to text back. I will not recommend this place although the room was big and comfortable. The hassle is really not worth it.

Comfortable stay, good location.

We had a short stay 2 nights. And I would not stay again. The location was ok for what we wanted and check in staff were nice. The room however was horrid. Corridors smelt stale as soon as you walked out of the lift. Rubbish cart was in the corridor for 24 hours. The room was worse, smelt like mould and stale air. Needed to have door open even though cold. Every time we came back from outings it was a terrible attack on your senses. Needs a thorough clean or replacement carpets. Not something to blame on housekeeping. Beds were comfortable and clean. Disappointing as I thought Mantra had a good reputation.

I stayed 22 nights... it was a very long time... The second day of my stay... I filed a report that the WiFi signal wasn't reaching my unit... But there was no response... The next day... I filed another report... and they said there would be a fix... But nothing at all... I filed four reports... no fix... Until I checked out... the WiFi wasn't fixed at all... This was the WORST experience I've ever had with the Accor Group... I had to spend a lot of money on a mobile data plan... I had to leave the unit for a work meeting...
