Warning! I only realized how bad Threads is after eating there! Super awful! Everything was unseasoned and the portions were tiny. The appetizer was smaller than what I'd seen in other reviews; it was clearly just paid hype. There were only four tiny, thin slices of food, and they were practically tasteless, relying solely on the burrata. The soup was the most watery and unseasoned I've ever had. The fish in the main course was completely unseasoned, even lacking salt. The dessert looked like it had been in the freezer for ages and had just been taken out; it was so hard your mother wouldn't recognize it. It tasted like New Year's coin chocolate. The waiters were talking loudly next door, and they even joined in the singing! Seriously... They have the nerve to charge such a ridiculously high bill! All the good reviews are bought out. I'll never come back.
Good Vibe Dining in MK 🥰 A rare day off to chill out with friends 👭 I've only ever had cocktails here before, but this time I tried their dinner too! The appetizers were all very unique. The swordfish sashimi was incredibly bouncy, with amazing layers of flavor and a rich, complex taste. The fish soaked up the sauce perfectly, and the broth was so refreshing! The toasted brioche even had a mousse on top. The ham was a bit dry, but the creative combination was perfect. Their mushroom soup was so flavorful 😭🫶🏼 Not too watery, not too broth, and with lots of whole mushrooms. Very high quality compared to other drinks I've had. For the main course, I ordered the Stroopin. The Steak (+128) was a bit difficult to cut and serve because it was medium, but the meat was very tender and easy to eat. The pork was a bit dry, somewhat like the one in the baked pork chop rice dish 😹, but the presentation was beautiful and completely covered up the pork. We also ordered a Jmoon handmade pizza, which was made with a mix of three different cheeses 🤩 perfect for a Hong Kong girl like me with cheese hops. The best was the Daily dessert! I thought it was a cake, but it turned out to be a mousse. The chocolate crust was crispy and the filling was rich and high-quality 🤤🤤🤍
Two days ago, I celebrated a friend's birthday at a restaurant. Sitting in a corner, the dim lighting and single light fixture attracted numerous moths/ants that constantly swarmed around our seats and the area around the light fixture. (About one every 5 minutes.) Also, I'm wondering if sitting near the air conditioner caused the water taps to attract insects? Perhaps the rooftop? (But the rooftop windows were closed.) This severely impacted our dining experience. Complaining didn't improve the situation. Although we were later reassigned (around the time we finished eating), it turned out other seats also had the same insect problem. If it weren't for my friend's birthday, I probably would have left immediately to avoid spoiling the occasion. I hope the restaurant will address this issue and improve the environment. The food and drinks were generally fine, except the steak, which was supposed to be medium-rare, arrived at least medium-well (70% cooked in the middle, and well-done at the ends). The risotto was decent, but the pizza was overcooked. The drinks were a bit overpriced. Some of the waiters were quite friendly and proactively introduced the drinks.
🌕JMOON is a rare find in a prime location in Hong Kong. It's a great place for a birthday dinner, offering excellent value for money. You can get high-quality Western food for just over $200. 👍🏼 All the dishes are delicious, and the ingredients are fresh. The cocktails are innovative and satisfying to both the eyes and the taste buds 😂 Highly recommended! Their signature cocktail, "J. moon," is especially amazing 💗
J.moon, a moon-themed lounge in Mong Kok, has a great vibe—stylish yet chill. For $248 per person, you get a variety of dishes; the foie gras mousse is smooth and creamy, and the ginger chicken and steak are incredibly tender. The most unique feature is the cocktail—the staff blows a moon-shaped candle into your glass right there, perfect for a photo op. Overall, it's great value for money, perfect for a chill or celebration with friends. Highly recommended!
The ceiling here is truly dreamy, with numerous hanging spheres rotating with different shades of light, creating a very soft and romantic atmosphere—perfect for a romantic date. We ordered a set menu, which included an elegant crab and quinoa balsamic vinegar tart, Iberian ham and pineapple salsa with crystal bread, foie gras mousse with toasted butter bread, and ceviche marinated swordfish. I especially loved these small and exquisite desserts. First, the crab tart was bursting with flavor—savory and savory with a refreshing touch. Then came the ham and pineapple bread, the juicy sweet and sour pineapple perfectly complementing the rich, oily ham. Next was the foie gras mousse bread, with grape pieces; the savory sauce was smooth and sweet, making it not at all greasy. Finally, the swordfish sashimi was served in a classic yuzu-lime sauce base, topped with yuzu jelly, onions, and cherry tomatoes—a refreshing and appetizing experience. The main courses, roasted chicken with ginger and basil mint cream sauce and crispy Spanish Duroc pork chop with cheese and sour cream, were also quite good in both quantity and flavor. The thick pork chop and roasted chicken were juicy and flavorful. The steak, available for an extra 148, was served with porcini mushroom cream soup, its rich and tender texture truly whetting the appetite. Of course, the rich pandan-flavored Lyra and the matcha-scented Pavo mocktails deserve special mention. Both had striking designs: the Lyra featured large leaves supporting the all-green beverage, while the Pavo was adorned with giant marshmallows. They were delicious and fun to eat straight or dipped in milk tea, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. The final dessert was a frozen chocolate tart. Biting into the crispy chocolate crust revealed a oozing chocolate filling – a true delight for chocolate lovers!
