The best place to stay and enjoy the delhi sight seeing
Beautiful little guest house, rooms are clean. Akshay and Vinod made our stay memorable. We felt like we were staying with family not in a hotel, because they were really helpful. Breakfast was delicious. I was hesitant to book this place because they asked us to pay in advance full amount, by a bank to bank transfer. But I am glad I decided to book and I will be definitely coming back to this place.
This was my first time in Delhi, and I wanted to stay somewhere LGBTQ-friendly and welcoming. Mister & ArtHouse exceeded all expectations. From the very first message, I felt genuinely welcome, and everything was tailored to my needs—from a customized city tour to smooth, stress-free airport transfers. Although this is a guesthouse and not a hotel, it offers many hotel-like comforts. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, the rooms are well maintained, and the interior design includes tasteful, subtle erotic elements that fit the theme beautifully. Nothing feels overdone. What truly makes this place exceptional is the staff. Akshay and the chef took outstanding care of me—always available, yet never intrusive. The service level goes far beyond excellent. The food was delicious, and lunch on the rooftop terrace is highly recommended. I also booked in-room massages, which were professional, relaxing, and exactly what I was looking for. Uber works well in the area, and for airport transfers I strongly recommend IndjaPink for their seamless door-to-door service. If Delhi is your first introduction to India, this is a perfect place to start. I warmly recommend Mister & Arthouse—an outstanding experience from start to finish.
Very comfortable little guest house where I felt like in a family. Every morning fresh cooked breakfast containing eggs, toast, jam, butter and fresh fruits as well as a daily changing very tasty Indian dish. A huge terrace invites you to have a coffee, a beer or another drink outside. On request a - once again - very tasty (Indian) dinner (can be chosen from the menu) will be prepared for you. Once back in Delhi I will stay there again.
What a wonderful experience in this beautiful guesthouse. Special thank you to Akshay and Vinod who delivered top customer service. Charming place, very well decorated with also an outdoor terrace, food was delicious and communication on point. I will be back here in my next stay in Delhi. Thank you guys and take care. See you next time!
Nice, Clean, Friendly. Yashpaul's Breakfasts were simple yet delicious. Coffee could be better. The outside space full of beautiful plants is great to sit and read and enjoy your morning coffee. Tours were also very well planned and gay friendly tour guides. Their pick up from airport was also timely and nice. Masseurs are a bit overpriced, but I understand they cater to tourists. thank you for a fun time.
I stayed at Mister and Arthouse for 3 nights during my 2-week trip to India. As a first-time visitor to the country, I chose this hotel because it’s marketed as a gay and gay-friendly space, and I wanted to feel comfortable being myself while in Delhi. My fiancé and I stayed here hoping for some relaxing and intimate time together, but the experience fell far short of expectations. While the staff, Akshay and Rohit, were incredibly friendly and accommodating—Rohit’s breakfasts were a highlight—the lack of transparency and basic comforts made this one of the worst B&B experiences we’ve had. Before staying here, we spent a few nights in the Select City Walk mall area, which was fantastic. That area had access to great shops, dining, and a much more enjoyable atmosphere. The hotel we stayed at there was around the same price but far more comfortable, with clear and fair policies. By comparison, Mister and Arthouse was a disappointment. As frequent B&B guests, we’ve always appreciated the personal touch and transparency that smaller accommodations typically offer, but this was not the case here. I’m usually not one to complain and have a “whatever, it’s fine” mentality, so I didn’t bring up issues like the hard-as-rock bed, the non-working TV, the inadequate bedding (one thick blanket for two people and two extremely flat pillows), or the lack of proper towels. However, reflecting on our stay, these problems really detracted from our experience. Adding to the frustration, Delhi was quite cold at night during our mid-January visit. While the hotel provided a space heater, they charged us 750 INR per night for it at checkout. Charging guests for something as basic as heat is absolutely ridiculous, especially given the already inadequate bedding. The lack of transparency extended to their visitor policy as well. One morning, a visitor (aka hookup) stopped by for about an hour, and we were charged a 750 INR “visitor fee.” While I understand the need for safety, this policy feels judgmental and far from gay-friendly. Worse, the fee doubles if someone stays overnight. For a space that advertises itself as inclusive, this felt exploitative and unwelcoming. The hotel also offers massage services, and others, but these are heavily upcharged, and the masseurs are reportedly underpaid. If you’re interested, you’re better off contacting the masseurs directly on Grindr (you’ll find them on the grid). Just keep in mind that inviting them to the hotel will incur another visitor fee. While the art displayed throughout the hotel is nice, it’s overpriced. For Indian art, I recommend visiting local markets where you can find beautiful pieces for a fraction of the cost. Ultimately, while Akshay and Rohit’s hospitality stood out, the owner’s lack of transparency, the additional charges for basic necessities, and the overall lack of comfort made this stay very disappointing. For the same price, you can find far better options in Delhi, such as in the Select City Walk area, which offers much more enjoyable and comfortable experiences. We would not stay here again, and I cannot recommend this place to other travelers.
