Adam's Apple is one of Chiang Mai's oldest gay show bars, in the Santitham area north-west of the old city. It is a go-go bar: young Thai men dance on stage and work the room, and there is a show every night from 10pm. Customers can buy the dancers drinks or pay an off fee to take one out, which is how the venue makes its money. It opens from 9pm and closes around midnight (1am on Fridays). Expect to buy at least one drink, and agree any prices clearly before anything else. If you are only there to watch the show, that is fine; a polite no is enough. Take a Grab or songthaew back, as Santitham is a ride from the centre.

I went there after seeing the heavily promoted event on Tuesday (the 17th), but for some reason, there were no customers. The showman seemed forced and held back from customers until they gave a tip. Personally, I find this place disappointing.
