Jomtien Beach (Dongtan section)

If you turn right at the 7-Eleven at the end of the street, you'll reach Dong Tan Beach; if you turn left, you'll reach Jomtien Beach. The far end of Dong Tan Beach is the gay area. That said, it's not all that different from the other areas. The only difference is that there are rainbow flags. You'll see families and couples there as well. The beach shacks are numbered from the far end, and I always go to number 20. The staff are friendly and helpful, which is probably the same everywhere, but the toilets are right across the street. By the way, the toilet fee has gone up from 5 THB to 10 THB. Probably for the same reason as the songthaew fares.

A pleasant beach extending from Jomtien Beach and a little beyond Pattaya Park. There are shady trees, plenty of sun loungers, and umbrellas. At the beginning of the beach, there's a small exercise complex. In the evenings, fitness dance classes are held for everyone. Along the beach are numerous cafes, restaurants, and hotels.

I used it in late March. I chose it because it was the peak season and there were lots of beach umbrellas! I was able to spend a very peaceful time there. (^^)

Traffic is bad. The roads are narrow, and because of the parking, it is hopeless if you get tangled up. The beach isn't as crowded as Pattaya Beach.
