Beware the ratings were much lower before. I wouldn’t be surprised there is some foul play here. Hardest mattresses I have ever slept on, and whatever you give them to laundry be prepared that they will write your rooms number on the clothing article outside and inside in blue permanent marker that cannot be washed off. To be fair there is aircon in every room. Not worth more than $40 USD per night. I don’t believe they understand what USD is and what they are charging.

Terrible experience. The service was absolutely disgusting. The manager was so irrespectful. The bathroom in terrible conditions and made us pay for bathtub that was already broken. No Private beach as they say, no bar as they publish in media. Be careful.

This hotel truly met all my needs. It was clean, comfortable, and had a peaceful atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The laundry facilities were also very helpful, especially for guests on long trips. My clothes were washed and neatly folded. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

Highly Recommend Arbiru Beach Resort! I’ve stayed at quite a few hotels around Timor-Leste, and while many of them look new and modern, I still prefer Arbiru Beach Resort when it comes to overall value and service. Check-in was quick and smooth. I originally asked to pay by card, but they kindly explained that credit cards aren’t commonly used in Timor-Leste, and only one bank accepts them with high fees. The hotel doesn’t work with that bank, so they only accept cash. Just a heads up make sure to bring enough cash with you! My stay was great overall. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the pool was lovely, the Wi-Fi was fast, and my room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast team was especially attentive, always checking in to see if I needed anything. The resort itself isn’t brand new and could use a bit of work on the outside, but the rooms were spotless, nicely painted, and cleaned daily. Laundry service was also included in the room rate, which was a nice bonus. They also offered free airport pickup and drop-off, which saved me $30 total (since taxis here cost about $15 each way). Prices in Timor are higher than in Bali, but after a few days, I understood why almost everything has to be imported. Honestly, I feel like this hotel has so much potential. If tourism in Timor picks up, I think Arbiru could be truly amazing. For now, it’s already a fantastic place to stay, especially if you’re looking for comfort, great service, and a relaxing vibe.

No. Just no! Waiting for check-in took forever, almost an hour and no card payment, even though the online app showed it as an option. 😑 The staff was super slow and didn’t understand what I was saying. I booked through an online app, but they tried to charge me the offline price. Even though I eventually got the app price, it was still annoying. The location was far from the city center, and there was literally nothing around except the hotel and industrial buildings. No lock. On my first day, I wanted to go out, but the door wouldn’t lock. Luckily, there was an extra lock from the inside. Since I canceled the rest of my stay except for that one night, I just left it. When I checked out, I informed the staff that the door couldn’t be locked from the outside. They said it was automatic. Well, yeah, normally hotel doors lock automatically, but the problem was that this one didn’t. Then they kept making excuses, saying it had to be locked from the inside. Like… I’m leaving the room, so how the hell am I supposed to lock it from the inside??? Requested a hairdryer but no hairdryer. No amenities at all. The water was boiling hot and couldn’t be adjusted to cold. 😑 I came back from dinner around 10 PM, and the garden lights were off, almost pitch black. I’ve been to less developed countries before, but I have never seen a hotel like this, let alone one that dares to call itself a resort.

Although a bit remote from the main parts of the city, Arbiru Beach Resort has a peaceful location and a beach setting with great potential. The resort offers good meals, although choices are a bit restricted due to lack of customers. The breakfast is ample and has a varied menu from day to day. The rooms are very big and comfortable, internet worked well and the laundry service was terrific. All the staff were very hospitable and helpful. The price was fair, especially for the facilities provided in the room and the large space. A good choice for those who need to work from the room.

I stayed at this hotel for two and a half months, and my experience was nothing short of fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. A special thanks to Cindy, who made sure everything went smoothly throughout my stay and was exceptionally kind. After such a long period, I can confidently say that the quality of service, the warm welcome, and the friendly atmosphere truly made a difference. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return on my next visit !
