Hotel Jezero

The hotel is in the park itself, a few minutes walk to the park entrance. The rooms are neat, sufficient for a stay. We are satisfied. The food in the half board option was really nice. The selection is relatively small, but sufficient in our opinion and all the dishes were delicious, which is more important than having a large selection of food that we don't like. Compliments. The staff was excellent. Reception, restaurant, no complaints about the staff. We recommend.

Stayed 6/1 for one night. Not a great stay. Rooms are dated as others have noted. Breakfast was very commercial —dining is in the basement, not a great atmosphere. No coffee/kettle in room and on top of that no coffee available in hotel at all until 7am. While I’m not usually an early riser, when planning to visit the park, I wanted to be up a bit earlier and couldn’t believe the little cafe was not open when my husband went down at 6:45. That is a little ridiculous to me, come on, 6 am is not unreasonable to expect a cup of coffee when touring. The staff is fantastic, but this hotel caters to busloads of tours and that’s what it caters to. It is worth one night for the convenience of the second day park entrance, but be prepared for these little quirks. We drove down to the little town for dinner since I didn’t want to eat in the basement and the Restaurant Degenija was great—worth the 7-8 minute drive. Just be prepared if you stay here, that would have helped me lower my expectations.

Rooms don't have any iron box or coffee making machine. Else the room was fine.

The best place to tour Plitvice Park. It is about 2 minutes from Entrance 2 and 3. In particular, if you purchase an admission ticket (you can do it anywhere), use it today, and inform your hotel, you can enter for another day tomorrow.

Basic, it serves its purpose, which is being right next to the park. The food is adequate, not very varied, but it does the job. I wish they would make better use of it because it has a prime location. The staff were excellent.

Great location and helpful shuttle service, but dated with slow restaurant service. The hotel is quite dated, but because I had read so many reviews about how old it was and didn't have high expectations, it was actually fine. The room I stayed in had air conditioning and, although old, it was clean. Its location right near the national park is absolutely fantastic, and they also provided a pre-booked shuttle service to the bus station, which was very convenient. We stayed here with half-board; the dinner was okay just for a casual meal to fill up. However, the service at dinner was very slow—it took over 30 minutes just to buy additional drinks. It's a great place to stay purely for convenience and location. I felt quite uneasy about their luggage storage after check-out. They let guests leave their bags in an unlocked room where anyone could just walk in and out. Fortunately, nothing was stolen, but this security issue definitely needs improvement.

The worst part is that the hotel seems to have forgotten that many of its guests are elderly travelers. Our group included several guests over 70 years old, yet the bus was not allowed to stop in front of the hotel. Instead, guests had to walk approximately 200 meters with their luggage in the rain. This is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one charging premium prices. To make matters worse, there was no luggage storage available before check-in or after check-out, which created additional inconvenience for guests. A hotel can have beautiful surroundings, but basic hospitality and guest comfort should come first. Unfortunately, the service and organization here do not justify the price at all. I would strongly reconsider staying here, particularly if you are traveling with luggage, a group, or elderly family members. The hotel is pretty old. The only good thing is the staff- really helpful.

I stayed in the left wing of the hotel (as you look at it), the rooms are old but clean, the restaurant is large, the food is good, the service is very good

I booked accommodation so that it would be close to the National Park and have parking. It met my expectations. Everyone was very kind and helpful. The 2 entrances to the National Park are a few minutes away from the Hotel! I can recommend it!!!
