As always, it is a pleasure to visit Scheelsminde, which is beautifully presented as soon as you drive through the gate. There is the best service from the moment you step through the door, and you can choose either self-service check-in or let one of the hotel receptionists help you. The rooms are nice, clean and up to date. They are a good size and a rather nice service is the hotel's pillow buffet, where you can choose your own pillow. A small bonus is the delicious products in the bathroom, which can also be purchased in the hotel lobby. The food in the restaurant is fantastic for the price. There is nothing completely innovative or special, but it is gourmet and good craftsmanship. However, I would say that the 6-course menu in July was incredibly reminiscent of the one we had at the hotel in April. There is a pool, spa and sauna, but you should not choose the hotel for its wellness. It is there and it can be used, but it is somewhat tired and worn out by now. On the other hand, it is nothing to complain about, considering the price of the stay, it is just a luxury that it is there. The breakfast is a small but well-prepared buffet with good ingredients. The only thing I can put my finger on here, and this is probably mostly due to gastronomic background, is the egg timbales made with eggs from a can. It's a shame when everything else is specially selected from delicious ingredients. All in all a fantastic experience, but we also come 1-2 times a year, and have done so for 15 years. Despite the fact that we have experienced many hotels and inns around Denmark, Scheelsminde is still the one with the best correlation between price, quality and service. Value for money, we Jutlanders like that.

Fantastic place. Amazingly good food and large portions. They had fantastic knowledge of wine that matched the food that was served. Not least incredibly good service and mood from an employee who had Norwegian ancestry in the restaurant. He should get a raise. We will be back. Highly recommend.
