Great shop and staff

Where leather and desire meet There are places you don't visit, but they call to you. GEAR Berlin is one such place. I stood there, in the soft orange light of the facade, while the air smelled of rain and rubber. Inside, it vibrated with desire, with masculinity, with everything that's unspoken but still allowed to be worn. The owner—a figure somewhere between a priest and a nightclub oracle—moved with a naturalness that would have silenced even Gerard Reve. He didn't speak much, but his gaze said: "You belong here." And then, as if the devil himself had laid down a beat, he shook his backside. Not vulgarly. More liturgically. The racks were filled with leather pants that rustled like promises, jackets that cover the soul without hiding it. It reminded me of the collection at Johnny's Vintage and Leathers on Etsy—that same craftsmanship, that honest scent of real leather. Only here in Berlin did the leather seem to breathe. Els, my German muse, whispered, "Matthias Reim would cry with happiness here." Harm, on the other hand—dressed in his tightest leather pants and with his Grindr notifications on silent—looked at himself in the mirror and said softly, "I'm finally home." We left the store with a bag full of leather and a heart full of sin. Outside, the air smelled of bratwurst and liberation. GEAR Berlin isn't a store; it's a confessional with a mannequin.

Unfortunately, emails about an order remain unanswered, even after two calls and three emails (Gmail & Hotmail) to two different addresses. The emails were sent to store@ / shop@ On September 29, 2025, at 3:03 PM and October 8, 2025, at 4:41 PM. The contact form and website chat are also not being managed. Stopped in to browse and was helped by a lovely man. Offered me a beer and helped me try some stuff on

No response to contact form/email inquiry since August 19, 2025. (Review will be updated if anything comes in.) I find it very difficult to order anything here and pay in advance when they don't respond to emails and the contact form doesn't seem to work either.

My favorite store in Berlin. High quality gear, their staple T-shirts worn worldwide and a large variety of designs and styles from leather to sports gear. Have been coming for many many years and will continue to do so. Amazing staff as well!

I was in the dressing room trying a shirt and a pair of shorts out and an old, thin man wearing a moicano just opened the curtains and said that another customer wanted to check the back of his boots. I said that I was naked in there and he just ignored me and opened the curtains wide. I said again that I was using the dressing room and he still ignored me and was talking to the other customer in German. When they were done, he just moved away letting the curtains open, keep in mind that I was just in my underwear the whole time. I felt violated and disrespected. It is not just because it’s a fetish shop that they should not respect your privacy, other wise the dressing rooms would not have curtains. You guys should be ashamed. Edit after store’s response: you really think that just because is Folsom week is ok to humiliate and force people to expose themselves without consent? That’s a name for it and let me inform you: it’s not legal! And who are you to question my choices? Justifying your employee’s abuse questioning if I belong in any event is beyond inappropriate. Again, you should be ashamed of your behavior.
