The staff was very warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent overall. The food was flavorful and well-seasoned – no additional seasoning was needed. The ambiance is a successful blend of rustic and chic. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant is relatively large, with about 70 seats inside and around 90 seats outside. We sat inside, and the restaurant was quite busy, practically fully booked. Consequently, it was rather noisy. I would strongly recommend booking well in advance. We reserved a month ahead and were initially placed on a waiting list until a table finally became available. Parking on-site is somewhat difficult.

We visited this restaurant for the first time because of the FineDine Box. Upon entering the courtyard, we were pleasantly surprised by the unexpectedly inviting atmosphere. I only noticed the interior during my first trip to the restroom, which turned out to be a pleasant one. The bread basket made a great first impression. It was generously filled and offered a wide selection of spreads. The basil oil was particularly noteworthy. We opted for the set menu and were delighted with both the first and second courses. In the first course, we detected an unusual flavor that made the dish special. When we asked the server, he couldn't identify it and said he would check with the kitchen. Although he didn't return, he later confirmed upon inquiry that it was fresh tarragon. It proved to be extremely flavorful. (Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of the first course.) The second dish was distinguished by the unique (raw) fish and the other components. However, it lacked a special touch that would have rounded out the dish perfectly. The subsequent courses didn't quite win me over in terms of taste. They lacked that certain something. The portion sizes are larger compared to other restaurants in the same price range. I'm torn about the service. All the staff were extremely friendly, however, we were occasionally overlooked, and it took a while for someone to come to our table, for example, to refill our drinks. This seemed somewhat inattentive. The wine recommendation was extremely competent; they clearly know their stuff. We visited the restaurant on an exceptionally hot day and would have appreciated complimentary water. Unfortunately, this isn't common practice in Germany. I'm not yet sure if we'll visit Augustin again.

We celebrated our wedding there at the beginning of June. We still look back on the most beautiful day of our lives, and the Augustin team played a huge part in making it truly perfect. The ambiance, staff, and menus were all top-notch. The food was divine, and our guests were absolutely thrilled. Thank you for this unforgettable, wonderful day! We've grown incredibly fond of each and every one of you. ❤️ I highly recommend you for events, weddings, and birthdays. We'll be celebrating every anniversary of our wedding with you from now on. 🥰

The ambiance at the Kolpinghaus was pleasant, a bit too dark and noisy, but still perfectly acceptable. Unfortunately, the service was sometimes too loud for the staff to hear our orders, and we often had to repeat ourselves. Furthermore, different people were serving, and they didn't always clear everything away properly to make room for each guest. The time between the aperitif, the bread with chocolates, and the appetizer was too short for us. Everything suddenly appeared on the table almost simultaneously, leaving no time to savor each bite. This should be handled better at this price point. The food itself—appetizers, main courses, cheese, and dessert—was very tasty.
