Hotel an der Marktkirche

Yes, simple and inexpensive.

The biggest (and only) plus point of this hotel is its location: very central, right in the heart of Hanover's city center. Otherwise, there's unfortunately not much positive to report… my single room was truly tiny and, even considering the fair price, extremely sparsely furnished. It had more of the feel of a prison cell than a hotel room. On top of that, the walls were incredibly thin! I sometimes felt like my neighbors were in my room. A comfortable atmosphere was completely out of the question! I was always glad to leave the room. There was practically no furniture or amenities, and the furnishings were ancient. At least the cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff was friendly. Overall, I would rather invest a few more euros in a better hotel, because this kind of experience makes for a very unpleasant trip!

The service was super nice, but the hotel was very old. The room and bathroom were incredibly small. The shower was also very small and only had a curtain. There's no hairdryer and not even a power outlet in the bathroom, which I find really stupid. No breakfast, but the location was great.

Centrally located, just a short walk from the main train station. It's a 2-star hotel. Functional, clean, a bit dated, and centrally located. Breakfast isn't included, but there are cafes a few meters down the street offering a variety of breakfast options in the morning. We stayed for one night. For one or two nights, it's perfectly fine. There's also a restaurant and bar attached, where you can eat at a reasonable price. However, I haven't included the restaurant in this review.

I only went to the outdoor dining area. Nice service, everything was good.

A lovely little hotel with everything you need, including a restaurant on the ground floor. (Only deducted points because there's no elevator / 3 floors)

Clean and tidy rooms. Excellent location.
