A very friendly and flexible team made our stay easy in every respect. The rooms are pleasantly and brightly furnished, and good mattresses and cotton bedding complete the positive impression. The food and drinks offered were fresh, regional, and seasonal, tasted delicious, and arrived quickly. Highly recommended for a stay at the Gasthaus Zum Braunen Hirsch!

This family-friendly hotel is a complete success, and you absolutely must try the Thuringian Rostbrätl (steak with fried onions)! We booked a stay at the Brauner Hirsch for a family weekend in the Hainich National Park and were more than surprised by the friendliness and attentiveness of the hotel and restaurant staff. Even the children were welcomed and immediately felt at home. Family-friendliness is clearly a top priority here. The dinner featuring regional cuisine was incredibly delicious – the Rostbrätl is highly recommended. The country-style rooms were very clean and quiet, and the Wi-Fi was good. There was ample parking around the hotel. This hotel is centrally located in the Hainich National Park, making it an ideal starting point for our hikes. Thank you to the team for this unforgettable weekend.

Excellent food. Fast and very friendly staff. The restaurant is very comfortably furnished. After your meal, you can take a pleasant walk in the Hainich National Park.
