I had a very specific request, not a particular title, but a list of requirements the book should meet. I received wonderful advice, as if they had memorized every book in their inventory. The book they recommended was exactly what I needed. I doubt there's a book out there that could have better fulfilled my specific request. In general, the store has a noticeable focus on gay men. Other queer people will certainly find something, but the first thing you notice is a series of scantily clad or even completely naked men on the covers. The organization by label rather than genre isn't quite what I like in a bookstore either. Frankly, I don't really care which queer relationships or people appear in the book I'm reading; I just appreciate being able to be sure beforehand that not every single character is cisgender and straight. It would be much more important for me to know in advance whether I'm holding a thriller, a fantasy novel, or a cheesy romance. If I were in Stuttgart more often, I would certainly spend all my money here.
One of the last two queer bookstores in Germany. Simply a fantastic selection. And if you want a book recommendation, it's best to ask Thomas. His recommendations are first-rate. I also order all the other books I want to read there. Small bookstores with such a lovely atmosphere absolutely must be supported. It's wonderful that you exist!
