Hotel L'Orologio Florence

Hotel L’Orologio is actually a small collection of boutique 4-star hotels in Italy, part of the Why The Best (WTB) Hotels group. It’s in the heart of historic Florence, within easy walking distance to the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and major sights. The room is Elegant Florentine style with a watch theme. It is stylish, spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Good breakfast served in a beautiful dining room with nice views overlooking piazza SMN.

Excellent room. Excellent food. Great breakfast choices. Excellent hotel restaurant as well. Definitely worth eating there. Great location. Very helpful staff. All in all a great place to stay

Close to the train station (faster to walk than drive). But not noisy rooms at night. We stayed in a junior suite (Us plus 16 yo daughter). The staff spoke English, offered restaurant recommendations and secured reservations for us. In addition, the included breakfast is a lovely buffet (European and state-side options) with an excellent view of Florence. There are stairs so would suggest being able to navigate(there is an elevator). The hotel is walkable to everything in 20-30 minutes, except for part of the Oltrano, but it's still not far.

I stayed at this hotel for work, and I must say the experience was extremely positive in every way. First of all, the location is truly fantastic: very convenient to the station, yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing after a busy day. One of the aspects that struck me most was the kindness and professionalism of the staff, both at reception and during breakfast: always available, smiling, and attentive to guests' needs. The room was very clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. I particularly appreciated some small details that, while seemingly minor, truly make a difference and enrich the overall experience. For example, the presence of slippers and mosquito repellent (in addition to air conditioning) demonstrates a great attention to guest comfort and the desire to prevent even the smallest inconveniences. Furthermore, upon entering the room, you are greeted by pleasant background music from a radio station: a simple yet truly refined touch that contributes to a relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast deserves a special mention, and I'd call it a true experience. It's served on the top floor, in a room with large windows and a splendid view of Santa Maria Novella: a truly evocative setting. I was truly impressed by the variety and quality of the products: fresh, authentic, and carefully selected. I particularly appreciated the attention to different dietary needs, with numerous options for vegans, those with lactose intolerance, and even those following a low-sugar diet. In conclusion, even though I stayed here for work, I would definitely choose this hotel again for a personal trip. I truly hope to return soon, because I had a wonderful time.

Hotel L’Orologio impresses above all with its excellent location in the heart of Florence. It is just a short walk from the train station and directly on Piazza di Santa Maria Novella – ideal for both arrival and exploring the city. The rooms are well-equipped and offer everything you need for a comfortable stay, although they are generally on the smaller side. The hotel's pleasant tranquility is another positive aspect – despite its central location, you hardly notice the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel has a small fitness room and a stylish bar, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and of good quality, with a solid selection of food. However, a clear point of criticism is the coffee at breakfast: only filter coffee is offered, which is disappointing, especially in Italy, and doesn't reflect the hotel's otherwise high standards. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, which further enhanced the pleasant stay. Overall, despite minor shortcomings, the Hotel L’Orologio is definitely recommendable – especially for travelers who value a central, quiet location.

The welcome was warm and the staff courteous and very helpful. The hotel is ideally located for visiting the historic center of Florence. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with tasteful decor. I will definitely return.

They play music in your rooms!!!! I absolutely love this! You can adjust the volume and turn it off but I kept it on the entire time cause it’s just such a vibe. Beds are comfy and breakfast is good.

There is a 1* review posted by some karen complaining about hotel’s personnel wasn’t efficient to react on PEOPLE BEING NOIZY OUTSIDE OF THE HOTEL - probably another cruiser scammer just being unhappy with their life. THE HOTEL IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. I was stupid enough to leave my purse with my passport and stuff on a Bologna-Napoli train and discovered this only when the concierge asked me about my ID for check in. After 10 minutes me being dramatic and upset on myself for acting like a 5 year old the concierge took all the information about our train trip and started making calls. He also made a few suggestions that eventually worked out and my passport was delivered to the hotel. I’m terrible with names - but this gentleman’s name was, I think, Luigi (a good looking dark haired gent with a tidy beard) - man, you were great, THANKS! Another concierge - Paolo - was also very helpful. Other than that - breakfast room has a CHARMING view on Santa Maria Novella. Breakfast selection is a little poor, but still very good (my main complaint is about scrambled eggs on daily basis). Rooms are very clean. Lobby bar has amazing cocktails. Front desk has a list of suggested restaurants- GO FOR THEM, you won’t regret . And, of course, the location- couldn’t be better!

Excellent location but with some flaws: very inconvenient sockets near the bed because they are behind the bedside tables, breakfast not 4-star: hot drinks only on request without any offer from the staff, no options outside the buffet.
