Hotel Central

"Wait for our response by email." That's what the Central Hotel in Timisoara writes to you after you make a reservation on their website. And you wait, wait, and then you call the next day to be answered by an arrogant person, after about ten unanswered calls, that you should have understood that it is understood that the reservation is not approved, no one from the hotel bothers to answer you. And still arrogant, if, "you want anything else". Shame on you with this communist style of hotel where you have the impression that the customers are at your mercy!

Despite the fact that we had a reservation made by the Hungarian State Theatre at the International Theatre Festival, when we arrived we were greeted by a rather rude "gentleman" who told us that of the two rooms we had reserved, he only had one, and that he had no more rooms, so that we could sleep two in one room, "so it's a double". He started off with "you", even though my colleague is older than him and I am a woman. Eventually, another room "appeared" for a fee. I won't even say anything about the rooms, except that if we were in the 60s it was still outdated. Smell of sewage, dust, musty smell, etc. but what bothered us the most was the lack of respect and professionalism. Plus, it didn't say anywhere that the parking spaces in front of the hotel don't belong to the hotel, and in the morning I woke up with a fine. Avoid.

Very old school, very shabby hotel in the center of Timișoara. Has many bizarre interior design details that make you feel like you are in the eighties Romania. The breakfast is very basic, but has eggs (fried and scrambled) so great. Rooms are clean and even have AC for hot days, Not too comfy but not too bad either.

Good value for money. Central location. Quiet. Refrigerator, TV, and Wi-Fi in the room. Room small but clean. Air conditioning and heating.

I arrived at the hotel in the evening without a reservation. Unfortunately, reservations were only made through intermediaries (the older gentleman at the front desk may not be proficient, or perhaps it's company policy. The older gentleman certainly doesn't speak English and is incompetent, but he has the manager's number and can call, which is a plus). The rooms are clean. The morning shift at the front desk is 5 o'clock. The location is great, but parking is paid. Overall, 4 out of 5.

The hotel is at perfect location. Hotel staff was very profesional.
