ECO Hostel

Clean hostel with super nice staff & volunteers. Common room super cute and has good views, social opportunities are really good! The building itself a lot of character and isn’t just boring and plain. Really good location and easy walking distance from everything. The only thing I didn’t like at allll is that you had to manually lock the door every time you leave, or lock yourself in. Like it doesn’t automatically lock and you can’t trust everyone to lock the door, they did have plenty of storage lockers you can lock in the room though so that helped. I will say it’s a little ironic that their whole thing is “eco” and art but their TikTok has a whole bunch of AI baby videos💀😂 doesn’t change that it’s a great hostel though.

The location is excellent — very close to both the train station and the city center. The room feels spacious and comfortable, with great ventilation and plenty of natural light. The staff are very nice and make you feel welcome and at ease. There are both private indoor bathrooms and shared ones, so even if you come back late at night, you won’t disturb others. It’s one of the most relaxing hostels I’ve ever stayed in.

I stayed 5 days in this hostel, and I had a hard time leaving! ^^ The staff is super friendly, and the facilities are incredibly functional and clean. The common areas are great; there's an open space to work quietly, or a cozy lounge area to chat with others. Honestly, it's fantastic! Bonus: the breakfasts are amazing! 😍 You have a choice of savory or sweet, and it's cooked to order and not too expensive. One area for improvement might be the location. It's already very well situated in the city, in my opinion, but only 4 stars because it faces the boulevard, where the noise of the cars can disturb light sleepers (but let's be honest, in hostels, the problem is snorers 🤣). Having stayed in quite a few hostels in my life, I highly recommend it!!!

The hostel has several really cool common areas where you can work well. Dinner was a great place to meet people, and the price was unbeatable. On the other hand, the room had six beds, and the bunk bed closest to the bathroom door was very close, so the person sleeping on that bunk unconsciously stretched out their arm, making it difficult to maneuver around without disturbing them. Also, there was mold and mildew in the corners and edges of the shower.

I was there from Saturday until today, Monday, and honestly, it's a place I wouldn't recommend. Upon arrival, instead of checking me in, they gave me a slip of paper to do it online and didn't explain anything. The guy who checked in before me had been given a detailed explanation of all the activities and things. Everything was filthy. In the women's communal bathroom on the 4th floor, there were shampoos and soaps inside other people's showers. Underneath the sink where you wash your hands, there were pants, socks, and other things. The common area and the kitchen were also extremely dirty. The rooms were dirty too. One morning they offered a tour of the free part of the Alhambra for €10. I asked if I could go in Spanish while drunk, and they told me it was only in English… even though we were in Spain… anyway… The people staying in the room where I was were very rude, turning on the lights at midnight, coming in drunk in the middle of the night making a lot of noise…

Nice hostel! Clean and well located. But above all, a really fun atmosphere. 'Family dinner' every evening, lots of activities, and good vibes!
