Bar Juno is a relatively new and still quite unknown restaurant in Linköping that I have had my eye on for a long time, and now after our visit I can truly say that it lived up to all expectations! We were super happy with the food, the service and the relaxed, inviting atmosphere. The music in the background was just right and the acoustics in the room meant that you could talk without having to raise your voice, a small detail that made a lot for the overall experience. The restaurant runs on the concept of sharing appetizers, which we really appreciated. It meant that we could try several different flavors and everything felt well balanced in both size and variety. Now for the food: We started with Nocellara olives and Swedish Coppa, which turned out to be perfect little appetizers. Then we shared Matjestaco and Chark & ​​Ost. Matjestaco was a highlight with saltiness, acidity and crispiness in perfect balance, and the charcuterie and cheese platter was exactly what a charcuterie lover like myself is looking for. For the appetizers we chose Steak Tartar, Fresh Potatoes and Halibut. The steak tartare impressed with grilled tallow mayonnaise and pickled silver onions that lifted the whole dish. The fresh potatoes were fresh and summery with rockfish roe and lemon-pickled onions. The halibut was the evening's favorite, perfectly cooked and served with a seafood sauce with crown dill vinegar that gave a lovely freshness. For dessert we shared Strawberries, Almond Cake and Cinnamon Bun. Everything was fantastic, especially the airy almond cake with yuzu salt and the cinnamon bun glaze from Simon's bakery which was the icing on the cake. The service was personal and professional throughout the evening, and it was noticeable that there was genuine commitment. It was especially fun that the owner himself was on site, helping with a little bit of everything and taking the time to talk to the guests. It gave a warm and welcoming feeling that was really appreciated. We left there full, happy and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

Visited twice at first and thought the food didn't match the price. Portions in size and price like Dahlboms two blocks away, but quality like a mediocre restaurant. Tried again now. Nice environment. Very oversalted food (ate 3/4 of the small portion). My beer glass was taken before I drank it, but got a new one when I asked for it back. They get the second star because the environment is nice after all and the small selection of beer and wine is well chosen.
