Had a really good burger and glass of rose wine. Great service from all the staff who were polite, friendly and attentive. I would recommend the Kings Arms as a good place to eat in Keswick.

Went to the kings arms on the off chance see it had a been garden so sat for a drink in the sun, we asked if they had any rooms available the staff were very helpful and friendly, it was cheaper to book direct then on booking.com we paid £119 for 1 night in a double with bed & breakfast, the room had a fan in which was a nice touch as the weather was roasting, the only badish thing i would say is the shower door opening isnt very big if some one of a larger size was trying to get in and out they would fine it hard. Over than that all good breakfast was lovely, the location on the hotel right in the middle of the town great for having a drink out side and just watching the world go buy.

We stayed at the Kings Arms Hotel for one night on our way up to Scotland. We arrived in heavy rain and walked into the bar/reception area . Despite being busy, we received very good service and were shown our room which was warm and tastefully decorated, if a little small. The bathroom was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a drink in the bar and could easily have spent more time there. It had a right atmosphere. The breakfast was most enjoyable and had a varied menu. We had smoked salmon and scrambled egg and poached eggs with spinach. All hot and delicious. A most enjoyable and comfortable Hotel.

Wetherspoons tier food, but ludicrously expensive for the quality. My husband and I paid £50 for lumpy, watery tasteless mash, watery tasteless gravy and meat that was bland and chewy. The Yorkshire pudding wasn’t homemade either. Tasted cheap and frozen. Don’t recommend if you actually like to taste your food. Would happily pay £100 for a delicious meal, but I begrudge paying for overpriced tasteless slop.

DID NOT STAY IN ROOMS-RESTAURANT REVIEW ONLY. The food was delicious. Portions were large, especially the gammon steak I had. (It was HUGE). They have gluten free options on the menu including the gammon steak, fried salmon dish, and a couple others. Sticky toffee pudding was also a gluten free option for dessert. Staff were friendly and the restaurant bit was in the back, seperated from the pub slightly so it was a more peaceful dining area. Great pub food!
