The Devon Hotel

Possibly the worst soundproofing of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Avoid the ground floor rooms. I can hear every word of the normal volume phone conversation the guy next door is having. If you want to a good night sleep, dont stay here. Was booked in two nights, I’m leaving a day early because it’s that bad. The restaurant next door is ok and the beds are comfy and clean. But the primary function of a hotel is to let you get a good night sleep, and it’s impossible here.

Really nice hotel, lovely staff. We are already planning our next stay here. Lovely restaurant and great food.

My daughter had her wedding reception here and it went so smoothly. The staff were helpful beforehand helping us plan, and really attentive and accomodating during the reception to help make it such a memorable and fun occasion. I would highly recommend this venue.

I can't speak to the hotel but the carvery we had was impeccable. Fresh ingredients well cooked lots of choice and generous with the meat serving 😋. Wonderful Barassie elegant and tasteful. Can't think of any negatives this will be replacing our usual Carvery for sure. Price was also competitive and not much higher than others but worth the extra small amount for that wonderful quality. Very highly recommended 👌

Stayed for one night and had a room which opened up to the car park, excellent for unpacking but a little more noisy due to the busy main road near by. The gym is small but has one of everything. The breakfast was excellent , self service buffet with great tasting food, would recommend it.

We had a celebration, and it was truly a night to remember! The place is amazing and has everything one could need. Special thanks to the General Manager, Mr. Ross Hamilton, and to the Events Coordinator Ms Lucy, for allowing us to prepare the venue two days in advance and for providing everything we requested. Your support and generosity made a real difference. We feel very lucky to have chosen the Devon Hotel for our celebration.

Strange motel-like atmosphere. My room was in the ground floor with the door opening straight onto the car park - not really a very secure feeling. Breakfast was good, dinner rather mediocre.
