My hotel (President Hotel) was facing the Russel Square. It was a lovely square with several benches and I could relax a bit during my busy schedule in London.

A place of relative quiet in a bustling city. Well maintained. Enjoyed taking my lunch and savouring it while sitting on a bench and people watching or just watching the world go by. If it was sunny (or even cloudy but not raining) a favourite spot to take in the air and read a book for a while.

Small square with garden area and trees to shade. Dogs are allowed and there is some dirtier area for this reason. It has some flowers and a small path with arches with vegetation.

Nice bit of green space in a very busy part of town with hotels and offices all around. Good for a little walk or a little sit to rest

Whenever we visit London we stop in a hotel close to Russell Square. The area is not too rowdy, has a pleasant park to sit with some food while planning for the day and it has always seemed a good base for wherever we plan to visit. There are a decent selection of places to eat, grab food on the go as well as a number of supermarkets within a short walk. The tube station is either on, or one stop over from, the main underground lines you will need as a tourist and generally does not seem super busy. If you like a walk and want to avoid some of the busier tube stations, a lot of the theatres are easily walkable from here.

Another very beautiful and well-maintained park/place in London. It is close to the British Museum and is worth a walk there. You will find beautiful trees and gardens, central grass area and a reasonable number of park banks if you want a little rest. There's a monument to Francis Russell as well.

It is an excellent place to stop in London. You are very close to places of interest, it is a relatively quiet area and walking you can quickly approach everywhere... You have the British Museum, St. Louis, nearby. Pancras, the entire Westmister area (Soho, Chinatown, Covent Garden), the subway station of that name and up to Candem. Supermarkets, shops, bars, all very handy. I plan to return to London in a few months and I will try to stay in that area again...it is EXCELLENT

Beautiful green space not far from the British Museum, it is also characterized by beautiful facades of the surrounding buildings, including the impressive Hotel Kimpton.

This is the largest of the Bloomsbury urban city parks, just north of the British Museum. It is a square with a nice bit of history which you can read up on the panels outside the park gates. Opening hours are 7.30am to 10pm daily. Within you will find winding footpaths lined with trees, centre grassy area and fair number of park benches if you fancy a bit of rest. There is a monument to Francis Russell, 5th Duke of Bedford on the southern side of the square that is worth a look see as well.
