The Guinness is excellent and consistently well kept. As someone who appreciates a good pint of Guinness, it’s one of the reasons I keep coming back. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. A proper local with great people, lovely staff, great pints and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had a fantastic afternoon and evening atbr Bowling Green. One of our colleagues organised a works outing there to have some drinks and play bowls. The staff were fantastic and also went out their way to provided us with plenty of woods to play with. The drink was spot on and the food was brilliant! I was assuming it was going to be typical pub style food but it absolutely blew that expectation away. Thank you for a great experience!

27/5/26 Another visit, another great meal. Staff were melting but very pleasant as always. Thank you guys. Revisted 08/04/26. Still good beer and food. Consistantly high standard. Some good deals on midweek meals. 👍 Nice pub. I've been here many times and they are consistently above average. Foods always really good. Beers well kept and in good condition. The rooms available are suitable for there purpose, wakes party's etc. Floor similar to other pubs in the area. During the week it's quite and easy to get a seat. Weekends are busy, same as all the local pubs. Book or be patient. Overall a good family friendly atmosphere.

Great pub! Maybe a little pricey on the pints, but no different to anywhere else nearby.

Food very bland. Had Sunday roast and it consisted of beef which was tough as old boots, one aunt bessies yorkie, gravey, wedges, cabbage, watery mash and a spoon of carrot puree which looked like something that the cat prepared. I came very near to refusing to pay for it and it was the dog who ate most of it. It was pretty bad and was defo reheated food like others have pointed out. Staff were very friendly though and the pint was good although it was a bit pricey..

Very clean rooms. Very happy and helpful staff and great beer. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend.

Good food and extremely helpful staff

The room was very clean, spacious and stocked with everything a guest could need. Extra points for checking in a tired traveller earlier ,without any extra charge. The food at the pub was lovely ,the service great and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. If I ever need a stop-over in Manchester again, I know where I'll go !

It was always gonna be 5* !!
