Sobre este lugar Bletchley Park — Alan Turing

Bletchley Park, on Sherwood Drive in Bletchley, is where Alan Turing worked on breaking German codes from 1939; he led Hut 8, the team on the naval Enigma. In 1952 the same state convicted him of gross indecency with another man and he accepted chemical castration instead of prison. He died in 1954. The royal pardon came in 2013 and the wider 'Turing law' pardons in 2017. The museum covers both parts of the story. A slate statue of Turing by Stephen Kettle (2007) stands in Block B, and the Turing exhibition that opened in 2012 deals openly with his prosecution. Bletchley station is a few minutes' walk from the entrance, and trains from London Euston take under an hour. Check opening times and tickets on its website.

We had a fantastic day out at bletchley park ,the last time we visited the place was 10 years ago the place had changed considerably with a fantastic entrance and this his where the information desk and entrance payment tills are but we booked on line. The building is perfect for the way it's laid out very informative with lots of information to wet your taste buds . coming out of this building you then enter the park area where there are building that are numbered according to what they did in the war with room set out when they was operational.in the park area there is sitting around the duck pond where you can rest your worn out legs for a bit with a giant deck chair for a photo, also smaller deck chair around . before popping into the main house .next door to the house is a tea and coffee place where they serve variety of things to eat and drink .but quite a cosy if you have a large family or friends group.there is a ice cream wagon near one of the building next to the tennis court.and sitting area . It took us a whole day to get round the site ,it was worth every penny spent, would I visit again definitely is the answer and I would recommend a visit to anybody who needs to know a little history of how the 2 world war was fort from behind the scenes. Excellent day out ,staff and volunteers are friendly and very helpful, there knowledge is great .so don't be frightened to ask questions.
