Marcha Provincial del Orgullo de Santa Cruz

The Marcha Provincial del Orgullo de Santa Cruz is the province's Pride march, organized by a provincial committee and held in a different town each year. In 2024 it took place in El Calafate on Saturday 9 November. The 10th edition was in Río Gallegos on Saturday 8 November 2025: marchers gathered in Plaza San Martín at 16:30 and walked through the city centre under the slogan "Frente al odio y la violencia, ¡más orgullo y unidad!"

It is a political march as much as a celebration, with demands around trans employment, hate speech and cuts to diversity programmes. It's free and open to visitors. The host town and date for 2026 had not been announced when we checked; past editions fell on a Saturday in early or mid November.
