Marcha del Orgullo LGBT de Santa Cruz de la Sierra
Sobre este evento
The Marcha del Orgullo LGBT de Santa Cruz de la Sierra was Bolivia's first Pride march: about 50 people walked in the Parque Urbano Central on 27 June 2000. Since around 2018 there have been two marches each June. A daytime political march goes from the old town (Manzana Uno / Plaza 24 de Septiembre) past the cathedral and the courts, and an evening parade with floats runs from Manzana Uno to Plaza del Estudiante, ending with shows.
In 2025 the political march was on Friday 27 June at 9am and the parade on Saturday 28 June at 6pm, organised by Colectivo La Pesada Subversiva with the city's culture office (El Deber). In 2026 the political march was on Friday 26 June, on the theme of access to justice (Infobae, La Patria).
The 2027 dates had not been announced at the time of writing. Expect the last weekend of June, and check local press such as El Deber before you travel.
